Disclosure has been churning out all the hits the past couple of months, and I would rate this one pretty high. I love everything about this track, the featured soulful vocals by Sinead Harnett, and the chill trance flavored beat by Disclosure. Nice bassline, nice head bobbing beat, everything about this track is so good!
One of my favorite producers of the last couple of years has teamed up with soul vibing Jesse Boykins III, and they have made some extra sexy music. I fully believe that Full Crate can do no wrong, im still anxiously waiting on his EP with Mar, titled Seeing Her Naked, but while that is still in works, I have these amazing tracks to listen to. Each track has its own sound to it but both are on the chill/hip-hop side, and I think these 2 might be on repeat for a little while. Take a listen below:
Frank Ocean shows off his amazing lyrical ability in this unreleased track. No one seems to know where the track is from, but who cares, its out and its great! Frank Ocean channels the R&B side, kind of sounding a bit like Craig David at times. I love this track, and It further pushes my interest into him. I don’t really care where this song comes from, it has so many little details as far as the beat goes, and I must say again, the lyrics this guy can write are pretty amazing. Check it out below!
The very talented Jay Norton decided to show off his amazing vocals to the world on The Voice. I recently featured this guy a couple of months back when he released his mixtape, which is still on repeat for me!
Anyway, so he performed his cover of ‘I Need A Dollar’ and got turn chairs by Will.I.Am and the legend Tom Jones. He eventually went with Will.I.Am which is definitely the perfect choice for him. I can’t wait to see him perform, and I hope he goes far!
That makes 2!
Vince Kidd and now Jay Norton, didn’t I tell you?
One of the biggest songs off Drake’s album finally gets visuals, and I have to say, I’m really liking this video. It’s simple but definitely shows the emotion of the song. While it doesn’t have much of a plot since most of it is Drake and Rihanna in a all white room, but still very good.
With a G.O.O.D music album coming out this year, they release the first single off the album. I’m not much of a rap fan now days, but I have to admit, this is fire! I think that this album could be a Watch The Thrown type deal, and has potential to take over the charts and every where else.
Kelly Rowland goes back to sexy with this track off the new Tyler Perry movie. This track in no shape or form is Motivation, but Kelly always delivers when it comes to sexy, and this can be added to that. I’m not really feeling the 2 features, but they do add a nice vibe to it. Kelly is definitely a force to be reckoned with, from slaying Dance & R&B, she can do almost no wrong, even her album was a complete flop.
The talented Rita Ora drops a video for her debut Rihanna rip off single, R.I.P.
While the song is just alright, the video doesn’t help it either. She looks good in it, and I love how the video is done, it just doesn’t do anything. Easily forgettable.
I still have high hopes for her, she has quite a bit of talent so maybe if she can get signed to someone else rather than being Rihanna’s shadow, she could have quite an impact on the business.
One of the few rappers I listen to these days, Kendrick Lamar, has released his debut single from his album and it features the legend, Dr. Dre. I haven’t been turned on too a lot of rap lately because of all the mainstream radio rap that has been going out in the past 5 or so years, so its definitely refreshing to hear real rap for once from Kendrick.
Kendrick Lamar is set to release his debut album later this year, and if he continues down this path, I’m more than certain that it will be amazing.
One of my favorite new artists right now showed the UK his amazing voice last night by trying out for one of the biggest new talent shows. He shocked the judges by giving them a little bit of soul by performing Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’, adding his own sexy spin to it. He got 4 chair turns in the end, and went with Team Jessie J which is definitely a good look for him, and I hope she does him justice.
Vince Kidd is definitely my vote to win the show, and if I could support him from the USA, I would. He is going to get so much publicity and fans from this and the best part is I get to see a live performance of him from weekly!
This guy deserves every bit of success and I’m so glad to be able to watch this journey. Watch out world, Vince Kidd is taking over the airwaves!
