I normally don’t post stuff like this, especially from a show that is on its way out, but I have to say that last years contestant may have saved this whole show. Fleur East was mentored by Simon Cowell in last years edition of X-factor in the UK and fell to number 2 while basic Ben Haenow took the crown. If you don’t read the rest of this post, at least watch the performance and educate yourself on some across the pond talent.
Seriously, Troye Sivan has become one of my most recent obessions.
I have been watching everything from his YouTube channel to his music videos constantly. In my search for everything Troye, I came across a gem of a song, ‘Youth’, which he now gives us. Sadly it is only in radio format for now, but the track is released either at midnight, or sometime tomorrow so this will change soon!
‘Youth’ is everything, it has a catchy chorus, Troye’s sultry vocals are perfect for this almost futuristic sounding beat. I highly recommend checking out everything this guy has to offer, he is quite amazing.
His debut album Blue Neighborhood comes out December 4th, and I have already pre-ordered it, as you should!
Missy is officially back!!
The industry has definitely missed quirky flow, and this Pharrell collab is the best way to come back into the scene. I can’t wait to hear more from this new era of Missy, she is about to take over the world again!
This track is fire!
BANKS is back, this time toning down the haunting effect on the vocals and giving us a more raw vocal. She sounds absolutely fantastic this time around which has me very excited for this new era. The video doesn’t give too much about anything, but the song itself is just epic. BANKS is such a talent, and I’m ready for her new music!
Craig David’s first album is still, to this day, one of my favorite R&B albums of all time, so excited was an understatement when I heard he was back in the studio!
UK’s own MistaJam gives us our first listen at his first new track in SO long, ‘When The Bassline Drops’, featuring UK rapper Big Narstie. Craig gives us his classic flow over a very familiar beat which keeps the track pretty basic, but as the tune continues to build, he drops the beat and it is heavy!
He recently covered Justin Bieber’s ‘Where are U Now’ and he definitely didn’t disappoint on that cover, so I was sure that this was the new, modern sound he was going for. I seriously love everything about this track, it is HUGE and although won’t gain much success over here in the States, his fans will definitely love this!
The ever so talented Brayton Bowman gives music’s most recent smashes a little change up. Brayton gives us life by mashing up Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean’ and Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’.
This might be one of my favorite mashup’s ever in life, Brayton is such a talent not only with his originals but with everything he has put out so far! He gives us his up-tempo sort of funky addition to both songs that give the songs so much more than they had before.
Brayton can do no wrong.
The talented vocals on one of my favorite songs this year, Kygo’s ‘Stole The Show’, is taking us to church on his newest solo venture ‘Temple’. So far, this man has done no wrong, and this is no exception! If you haven’t heard his heart wrenching solo version of ‘Stole The Show‘, you are definitely missing out.
The vocals on this man are incredible, and the beginning of ‘Temple’ proves that. The track starts off sounding emotional behind a church organ, then turns into a quite catchy tune, I’m loving it!
Like I have been saying, keep this guy on your radar, he is going to blow up with all this talent!
Justin is making a lot of buzz this time around, to add to it, he has released a remix of the smash hit ‘Hotline Bling’ from fellow Canadian Drake. While the video for this song is still terrible, I can’t deny it is a huge hit, and Biebers spin on it is actually quite good.
Justins album Purpose is due out on the 13th, and I’m actually quite excited to hear this era of the Biebs.
