NEW MUSIC: Janet Jackson – No Sleep

YES.

This single is everything and way much more. I had no idea what to expect after hearing she was in the studio again, but after hearing this smooth, sexy track, I am sold. It has a lot of old school Janet vibes on it, she keeps it very simple but it seems so effortless. I’m excited to hear what else she throws at us, this is just the beginning.

NEW ARTIST: Alex Vargas

I have just come across the amazing talent, known as Alex Vargas. Thanks to SBTV, and their acoustic session of his cover of John Legend’s ‘Ordinary People’, I have fallen in love. He takes the already amazing track and gives it a very different spin, but effortlessly keeps the soul and maybe even adds a bit more to it. This guy’s vocals are unheard of, and I’m about to dive into everything he has ever made on YouTube, as should you.

According to his twitter, he has an EP coming soon, there is no word on a release date yet, but I will definitely have my eyes open for this!

Enjoy, and watch out world!

I posted some other videos by this amazing talent after the jump, if you wish to check them out!

NEW MUSIC: Miguel – Face The Sun [Ft. Lenny Kravitz]

bd25b2d3873872109b39a4519314b533-275-275

Miguel is getting ready to release his much anticipated album WILDHEART, and earlier today he dropped five tracks off the album. One of the stand out tracks was this unlikely collaboration featuring the one and only Lenny Kravitz. I have always been a huge fan of both of these artists, and putting them on a track together is genius. I’m loving everything about this track, and I am really excited to hear this album from Miguel. I think it will definitely secure is spot in the big leagues.

NEW MUSIC: Wrabel – I Want You

wrabel-press-billboard-650

The vocals behind Afrojack’s ‘Ten Feet Tall’ is on a role, and he goes by the name of Wrabel if you haven’t heard yet. After releasing his pretty fantastic EP Sideways, we get a little taste of some new music from this talented singer. The single ‘I Want You’ has an amazing production behind it, giving it a very dance floor vibe that I am loving. I don’t really have to tell you how amazing Wrabel sounds on the track either. This track is catchy and very lifting and kind of gives a summer vibe that I’m definitely feeling.

NEW VIDEO: GRADES – King

I have to admit I haven’t really heard too much from GRADES, but this video was gaining a lot of attention in the blog world, so I took the leap and checked him out. I was pleasantly surprised, and immediately became a fan. For one, I couldn’t keep my eyes of the video, it is definitely different and I love the concept. GRADES is definitely one I’m going to keep an eye out and I will continue to support this talented man.

NEW MUSIC: Jessie J, Jhene Aiko & Rixton – Sorry To Interrupt

sorry-to-interruptThis is one of the most surprising collabs I have seen in a long time. We have powerhouse Jessie J, sultry Jhene and popstars Rixton all together on one track. The track is for some pop-tarts promotion for something, but I have to say I am kind of feeling this track. I really think this is going to be a big hit, it definitely has a huge summer vibe, and this could be the track to bring each of these artists into the mainstream, not that they weren’t already.

Approved.

JUST LISTEN: Jess Glynne – My Love (Acoustic)

After announcing that her debut album I Cry When I Laugh is getting its official release on August 14th of this year, she treats us with quite an amazing acoustic cover over her Route 94 dance song ‘My Love‘. There is no denying the vocal ability on this woman, so much soul. The track listing has been released and we get to hear, what I think will be, an amazing collaboration between Jess and Emeli Sande titled ‘Saddest Vanilla’.

Can’t wait to hear this album!

NEW MUSIC: Years & Years – Shine

Everyone knows by now that Years & Years are my favorite band at the moment, so this review is going to be a glowing but short one. Years & Years can do no wrong in my eyes, and are doing something completely different than anyone and killing it in the process. Like I said, I love them, and I love this song, and their album is definitely the one for the year. Take a listen to their latest offering ‘Shine’, and if you still haven’t educated yourself on this amazing trio, I suggest you do. Right now.
