Lana Del Rey has officially returned with a sexy comeback!!

“Lust for Life” is absolutely everything we could ever hope for in a collaboration with The Weeknd and Lana. The duo has previously worked together on two tracks for The Weeknd, and now it is Lana’s turn. We enjoyed the duo together because they just fit so smoothly vocally and their styles just pair perfectly.

“Lust for Life” is everything we could ever want from the duo. It oozes sexy, and just the perfect track to get summer started.

NEW MUSIC: The Weeknd – Starboy [Ft. Daft Punk]

The Weeknd absolutely smashed last year and now he is back to do it all over again. I have been a fan of him since he released his mixtape trilogy back in 2011, so I have to say I wasn’t so impressed with his debut album.

That being said, I have to give it to him because he has given the R&B game a whole different vibe. This track is no exception, he features the legendary Daft Punk and the track is titled “Starboy”.

It seems Daft Punk has toned it down a little for The Weeknd to be able to flow his signature falsetto vocals over, and I love it. The track is such an evolution from his previous album and I can’t wait to hear his follow up album.

Starboy is due out November 25th.

NEW MUSIC: Ariana Grande – Love Me Harder [Ft. The Weeknd]

ariana_breakfreepop

I love me some Ariana Grande, although she did lose a lot of credit for making that so called song ‘Break Free’ with Zedd. She redeems herself here with a smooth pop/r&b vibe track titled ‘Love Me Harder’ featuring none other than The Weeknd. She is giving me a little old school Mariah vibe on this track which is why I fell in love with her in the first place, and I really hope the rest of her album sounds more like this, because while I loved ‘Problem’, lets be honest, It is getting quite the overplay. Anyway, take a listen below!

NEW MUSIC: The Weeknd – Often

the-weeknd-often

The Weeknd surprises us with a new release titled ‘Often’ just minutes ago. The Weeknd, to me, has kind of lost interest to me since he has hit mainstream, but that is just me. I do like this song a lot, but it’s nothing life changing like I need. The beat to this song is a little overused, but you know all that being said, its still pretty good.

I’m looking for him to change it up now

NEW MUSIC: The Weeknd – Valerie

The Weeknd preps the release of his debut album Trilogy due to release next week.  The Weeknd has gained quite a bit of success so I’m expecting a lot from this album, but I’m not sure how much he will deliver since his first mixtape was absolutely amazing. This track gives me some hope though, the production, vocals and everything is just perfection. Sounds like his first mixtape material, but definitely worthy for an album!

NEW MUSIC: Ellie Goulding – High For This (The Weeknd Cover)

Now the original Weeknd version of this song is what hooked me to them in the first place, but I have to say Ellie did an amazing job, she definitely added her own unique twist to it, and I love every bit of it. It doesn’t even compare to the original, but I absolutely love it, and I can’t wait for her to come out with new music, I love me some Ellie Goulding.

NEW EP: The Weeknd- ‘Balloons of Haus’ (Chi Duly Remix)

This isn’t an official The Weeknd mixtape, but rather a remixed version by Chi Duly, of some of his biggest tracks from previous mixtapes. It adds a more trance/house kind of feel to most of the tracks, taking away the R&B side of it and giving it a little more beat and bass. I haven’t heard the whole thing through yet, but from what I have heard its definitely not as good as the originals, but it doesn’t disappoint either. Anyway decide for yourself!

Also if you haven’t heard of The Weeknd, ‘House of Balloons‘ is still on HEAVY rotation

Thanks to Pinboard for the EP
