In the second video of Travis Garland’s #TGtuesday‘s we have a cover of The Bieb’s smash song, “Love Yourself”. He introduced us to this weekly video series with his quite fantastic cover of Tori Kelly’s “Should’ve Been Us“, in which he flipped up the song and gave it smooth R&B feel.

I do have to say, I much prefer how he flipped up the Tori Kelly song, while this one he just kind of left it the same. It is hard for me to give my perspective on a cover like this because I actually prefer the song to sound like this, it is a track that just doesn’t really need to be touched, and that’s exactly what he did. He shows off his vocals in spots that the original didn’t, added some smooth harmonies and left it at that. I like it.

Nothing amazing, but he is definitely growing and finding his place and I’m a fan. I look forward to hearing more from the #TGtuesday series.
