These Danity Kane posts are always bitter-sweet, because the fact that they had fire in the studio still is blowing my mind, but on the other hand, this is the last that we will get from them is really depressing. Danity Kane was a girl group that couldn’t be tied down, it’s sad to see something this good go to waste. Anyway, with their album being released soon, we are slowly getting tracks off of it including ‘Tell Me’. Their previous track ‘Rhythm of Love’ wasn’t my favorite when I heard it in live version, and the studio version didn’t change that, but hearing ‘Tell Me’ gives me life again. I would have loved to see some classic Danity Kane choreography to a lot of these tracks on the album, maybe the whole thing is a publicity stunt? We can only hope!

Enjoy

NEW MUSIC: Danity Kane – Rhythm of Love

By now I feel like everyone knows the group has broken up, but if you haven’t well there you go. There was lots of drama surrounding the whole situation, and I didn’t care to read the whole thing, I was basically concerned with the music. For a while it seemed like we weren’t going to get anything more from them, but as of yesterday, Aubrey and Shannon have come out and said that the album will be dropping next month. Dawn hasn’t spoken about the release, but the other 2 have stated that this album is for the fans.

All that being said, I have seen them perform this song live on youtube, and it’s not my favorite from the group, because I am still waiting for ‘All in a Days work’, but its start. They took a more dance/pop feel with this track, a complete opposite from the smash that is ‘Lemonade’. I’m just excited to hear what went on in the studio, so now I just have to wait and see.

Also you can hear snippets of their entire album here

The wait is finally over! Danity Kane has premiered their first official comeback single of the year, and it’s straight fire! While there is a lot of speculation going around on why Aundrea isn’t on the song, it is still very refreshing to hear a track with a legit girl group. Danity Kane has to be one of my favorite girl groups, and I’m so glad they decided to make a comeback.

‘Lemonade’ has is everything that is needed on the airwaves today, it’s modern, and while it does sample a Clipse track, I feel it is bringing something unique and different.  There isn’t really an older girl group out there right now, and Danity Kane already has a reputation in being one of the best around.

Still patiently waiting ‘All In A Days Work‘.

Danity Kane made quite the impact while under Diddy’s hands, but after a bit of drama between the group and label, they decided to split and go out on their own. ‘Bye Baby’ is not an official single, just a buzz single, but I have to praise them for this. While it is kind of a Daft Punk/Pharrell knock off sound, it is still way better than what I expected. I hope they don’t plan to stay with the funky vibe they have going, while it works for this track, as a group it wouldn’t work. They have been hyping up their release for far too long now, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say, we need an official single and video soon!

In other news, they have recently performed some new material at their latest House of Blues show, titled ‘All In A Days Work‘, which sounds like it could be equally amazing.

NEW VIDEO: Dawn Richard – Bombs

Former Danity Kane star Dawn Richard is back harder than ever with her debut single off her solo project Armor On. Let’s all be honest for a minute, we all thought her career was over with the rest of the members of DK, and even after her some-what failed attempt with Dirty Money. She was released from all that and decided to try it on her own, and well I would say it’s working pretty well so far!

‘Bombs’ is a hard hitting song with smooth R&B segments showing off Dawn’s amazing vocals. I really like this track, and the video is just as hard as the song showcasing Dawn doing some intricate choreography. No telling what the track will do on the radio or anything, but it has sparked my interest in her solo project, and I will definitely keep my eye on it!

….still bitter about that DK break up though
