Earlier last month she gave us two singles, “Hungry” & “You Already Know” as a part of her long awaited second solo album, Double Dutchess. She finally shares the visuals from my favorite of the two tracks and it’s so visually different from what you would expect from a pop-star. That is one thing we can always count on with Fergie, she always brings a unique side to the cookie cutter pop world!
This is a pop video I can get down with!
Stay tuned, Double Dutchess is due out NEXT WEEK!
While everyone is talking about Taylor Swift’s trash new track, we are over here marveling at Fergie Ferg. With her follow up album FINALLY getting a release, she gives us TWO tracks ahead of its release.
Our favorite of the 2 is the Nicki Minaj assisted, “You Already Know”. It has a very old school vibe sampling DJ EZ Rock’s, “It Takes Two”. Although I did a few of her previous singles (“MILF $“), this is definitely the Fergie I have been waiting for.
Take a listen below, and after the jump find the Rick Ross assisted second single, “Hungry”!!
After a week of teasing on social media, Tswift finally released her comeback single, “Look What You Made Me Do”, and on first listen its actually a pretty decent single. She claimed it was going to be a different sound, well she definitely strayed far away from her country roots. This track sounds like a smash for Fergie, but not Taylor Swift. Although, I know she will kill the charts based on the name alone, but I expected more.
In summary, Taylor got called out for being a snake and she is trying too hard to live up to that name. You can definitely hear the samples she has thrown in her production. “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred and Peaches’ “Operate“. Go back to country pop star that everyone fell in love with.
I have to admit, I was expecting more from her vocally. “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” gave me so much hope. I’ll give it a chance until I see the video and make my final decision!
Her new album title is called Reputation and is due out November 10th.
After her fail of a track, “L.A. Love”, she brings back her trademark swag on the fantastic womens empowerment track, Mom’s I’d Like To Follow or “MILF $”. There is really no telling whether this will be a hit or not but I believe that it has everything behind it to become a smash. The pop world is missing that Fergie flow and we have been waiting entirely too long for a solo album from the dutchess.
Fergie is back after a long 8 year hiatus in the solo industry. She brings us some fire on her new track ‘L.A. Love’ produced by DJ Mustard, and I have to say I’m in love with this. Her debut solo attempt brought so much fire and crowned her The Dutchess. Here, with ‘L.A. Love’ she brings us more originality doing something that isn’t heard on the radio today, which will definitely give her the top 10 hit she was looking for. Lyrically, there isn’t much to this song at all, but I mean what top 40 song can you really say has fantastic lyrics anyway.
I can’t wait to hear the rest of this album, because this is just the beginning.
