OneRepublic is back with their first single off their third album, ‘Feel Again’. The track is everything you would expect from front man Ryan Tedder’s production, a drum backing, and just a big sound in general. The track doesn’t really have any aspects of it that have moved forward from their last record, but that’s not saying its a bad record. I love it, and I think it will get some airplay. I’m hoping they change it up a bit for some of their tracks on the album, but I still look forward to hearing it!

NEW MUSIC: Leona Lewis – Trouble [Ft. Childish Gambino]
Leona Lewis attempts her comeback after she completely failed ripping off Avicii with ‘Collide’. ‘Trouble’ is written by the amazing Emeli Sande, and you can easily tell if your a fan of her. ‘Trouble’ doesn’t really sound like anything Leona would put out, but having said that, it’s not a bad song. The added feature of Childish is a bit random, but I guess she is going for some street cred. When it comes down to it, she has an amazing voice, just not the right emotion behind it to pull off a dark song long this.
Good song, but if Emeli Sande would have kept it to herself, she would have slayed it.
NEW MUSIC : Ciara – Livin It Up
Ciara attempts the much needed comeback that she has been waiting for, and she begins with the release of ‘Livin It Up’, which doesn’t really sound like her kind of genre at all. ‘Livin It Up’ is more pop than R&B but it is catchy, and I guess you could say it has crossover appeal. I think everyone agrees that we all miss the old Ciara, and even with more recent releases like ‘Gimme Dat’ and ‘Sweat’, but to me this is just ok. She might be able to chart with this song, but nothing spectacular.
It’s a cute attempt.
NEW MUSIC: Cassie – Balcony [Ft. Young Jeezy]
Cassie releases her first single off her upcoming mixtape Rock-A-Bye Baby titled ‘Balcony’. We all know Cassie isn’t the vocalist, but she has built a reputation in the underground world for her sick beats, and her unique and plain vocals. Just like on this track, her vocals don’t really go anywhere but some how it works for her. This tune isn’t the best, it really leaves you wanting more, but I think this mixtape could actually be quite good.
Anyway, take a listen below
NEW MUSIC: Swedish House Mafia – Don’t You Worry [Ft. John Martin]
NEW MUSIC: Rochelle Jordan – Pressure
I have been a fan of RoJo for quite some time now, she is doing something a lot of people are not, and that is releasing some good R&B music. You can’t deny the Aaliyah comparisons, but even with that she manages to have her own spin on things and it is amazing. Rochelle just released her LP titled Pressure. I haven’t given the whole thing a listen yet, but knowing her music she hasn’t failed me yet.

NEW MUSIC: Aaliyah – Enough Said [Ft. Drake]
YES. YES. AND MORE YES.
There has been a lot of speculation behind Drake being one of the main producers behind Aaliyah’s next album, and if he was worthy since he really had no contact with her. Timbaland and Missy Elliott have a little frustrated in not being involved in this project, but after all of that the first track to be released is ‘Enough Said’. I’m a bit hit or miss when it comes to Drake, but I have to give the man credit for this.
This masterpiece is absolutely amazing, and I’m not sure what else to say about it. Her vocals on the ‘Yeah’s’ bring back so many memories of how much of a talent she was, and the production is smooth and sexy and could easily bring tears. All that being said, the only problem I have with it is, it sounds like a Drake song instead of an Aaliyah song, Drake should have toned it down for this song since it is an Aaliyah album that he is producing and not his own.
Looking forward to hearing the project in full!
Repeat.
NEW MUSIC: Chris Lake & Jareth – Stand Alone
I have been a bit picky with the kind of dance music I listen to, but this track has been a long time coming. One of my favorites Jareth is accompanied by Chris Lake in this absolute smash ‘Stand Alone’. I first heard of Jareth after her release of ‘Pathway‘ and that track is still on repeat.
I have to say she sounds perfect over a hard hitting beat like this, and her unique vocals just add exactly whats needed. Jareth is definitely one to watch out for!
