Just a week after The Weeknd dropped his single, “Starboy” featuring Daft Punk, he drops another track even better, “False Alarm”.
This track is from his upcoming album, Starboy, and I am loving it at first listen. It has a lot of different sounds to it which excites me for the rest of the album!
JoJo is making her first album in 10 years something really special. “FAB” or “Fake Ass Bitches” might be one of my favorite tracks off an already amazing album.
JoJo has never been shy about her haters and relationship problems, and this might yet another anthem given to us by the one and only. This woman is a true superstar in every aspect, and I am so glad that she has resolved her recording problems because the world needs her music. “FAB” is accompanied by Remy Ma, who is an unlikely feature, but fits perfectly to fuel the anthem to another level.
JoJo’s long awaited album, Mad Love, drops October 14th. I highly suggest you buy this album and support a true artist in every aspect.
One of our Artist Spotlights, Mullally, has given us some serious fire with “Wonderful”. This track is more upbeat and laced with love. Mullally’s vocals are a standout on this Jamie Lidell produced masterpiece, and at just 20 years old, this guy can only get better from here.
I don’t know what else this man has in store for us, but if its anything like the last 2 tracks he has dropped, we will be patiently waiting here for it!
One of my favorites of from 2012 has finally decided to grace us with new music in the form of “Hurts”. This will be the first single off her upcoming album, Long Live The Angels. This song was created after her emotional break-up with her childhood sweetheart, and you can feel the emotion throughout the track.
Emeli has comeback with fire in her eyes and you can feel her heart pouring out in every lyric of this track. Her vocals are bigger and better than ever, and the simple production allows those vocals to truly shine.
,Stay tuned guys, Long Live The Angels is due out November 11th, and she is sure to take over the world again.
Our Artist Spotlight of last month, Stanaj, has teamed up with the electronic duo Lematire to give us some serious fire. I’m a little slow to post this one but I try and support my Artists the best I can and this track needs to be heard.
Stanaj’s vocals are just unreal at points on this track, and the electronic vibe that Lemaitre gives is something you need to listen to multiple times to understand it all. “Playing To Lose” is a serious banger and I really hope this guys career skyrockets like he deserves.
The Weeknd absolutely smashed last year and now he is back to do it all over again. I have been a fan of him since he released his mixtape trilogy back in 2011, so I have to say I wasn’t so impressed with his debut album.
That being said, I have to give it to him because he has given the R&B game a whole different vibe. This track is no exception, he features the legendary Daft Punk and the track is titled “Starboy”.
It seems Daft Punk has toned it down a little for The Weeknd to be able to flow his signature falsetto vocals over, and I love it. The track is such an evolution from his previous album and I can’t wait to hear his follow up album.
JoJo is coming back so strong on this album, with her debut “Fuck Apologies” giving us the zero fucks anthem we all needed from her and now with the release of the title track off the album, “Mad Love”.
“Mad Love” gives us some serious vocals from JoJo while she belts over a soul infused almost old school big band sounding beat. This is one title track that doesn’t disappoint and this album might roll out to be one of the best of the year.
October 14th is rolling closer and closer and Mad Love is sure to be a big album, with almost 10 years in the making since her previous album, The High Road. I can not wait to hear the rest of this album!
One of my favorite bands of the past 2 years, Years & Years, has just released their debut single from their second album. Communion, their debut album, remains one of my favorites to this day so with the release of this single I am more than excited to hear what else they have to offer.
“Meteorite” is pop perfection just like every track and visual they have put out. They give a deeper meaning to pop music which no one delivers at the moment. The track is fun, and bright and just an all around smash.
It feels like we have been missing Lady Gaga forever now. With her 3 year solo hiatus, 2 if you count the Tony Bennett collaboration, the charts have been missing this pop queen. Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and Rihanna have been slacking on their “comeback” singles, so with Gaga announcing her return, I expected a big one.
Lady Gaga has enlisted pop magic for this track, it features the likes of Mark Ronson and Tame Impala which are huge names if you are fans of music. With names like that on a track, I expect nothing less than a smash, and that is what we have recieved.
Gaga gives us a hard hitting anthem that we all needed. It is a very different sound from what we are used to, almost a disco rock sound. The first 20 seconds definitely sound like it could be a Rihanna track, but then it kicks into gear and you realize that Rihanna can’t compare to this.
It is the break-up anthem that everyone will be blasting and will take over the airwaves. It is a brave move in the name of Gaga, we are used to her pop anthems, but this harder. For those that hate it on first listen, will love it after a month or so. This track is going to be huge.
For me she takes the crown of Pop queen this year. and I’m sure she will have some mental visuals to go a long with this track to give it that extra push.
Felix Snow has been producing the jams all year and this Young Thug collaboration is no exception. Tracks such as “Lamb” and “Lies” have been on heavy rotation all year and I can easily see “Turn Up” getting the exact same treatment.
This track is no doubt a club banger, it keeps a dance floor vibe while Young Thug does his thing over the beat. There really isn’t much to this track except the mindless turn up track.
