Covering the inazealia-banks-heartsternet sensation the ‘Harlem Shake‘ not too long ago, she continues her streak of covers with a very UK Garage sounding vibe single covering The Strokes’ ‘Barely Legal’. I have to say that Azealia surprises me every single time she releases a single. She is extremely versatile as far as flowing over beats goes, and this is no exception. This cover is fantastic, and along with the cover, she finally dropped the release date for her long awaited single from her Debut album Broke With Expensive Taste, which will feature her premier single ‘Yung Rapunxel’ due to hit itunes March 26th!

Get ready world, Azealia is going to slay!

NEW MUSIC: AlunaGeorge- Attracting Flies

By now you should know of AlunaGeorge, seeing as they have gained quite a bit of success in the past couple of months, and now they are back with another single off their upcoming album Body Music. ‘Attracting Flies’ is another smash from the duo, just like all previous tracks that these 2 have touched (Including the smash “White Noise” with the equally amazing Disclosure).  Body Music is due out July 1st, and it’s going to be perfection!

NEW VIDEO: Azealia Banks – Harlem Shake (Remix)

The original Harlem Shake has blown up in the last 2 weeks, and of course one of the most talked about rappers has thrown out a remix for us. Azealia Banks, no doubt, fits perfectly over this beat because she first blew up with “212”, so this is naturally where she belongs. The lyrics are controversial just like her, and I absolutely love this song. As for her original material, her first single “Young Rapunzel” is supposed to be dropping sometime soon. Enjoy this for now, because I believe when she drops her first official single, she will begin her world domination.

NEW VIDEO: Rihanna – Stay [Ft. Mikky Eikko]

This is probably one of my favorite cuts from her Unapologetic album, and now it seems it’s getting single treatment. The video is nothing special, but it does have Rihanna in a bathtub for the whole time, which is never a bad thing. Other than that, not much is going on, still a great song though, Mikky Eikko’s vocals are amazing, and they both sounded great at the Grammys.

Alright, I haven’t been the BIGGEST Biebs fan, but slowly but surely he is proving me wrong, which I have no problem with. I’m not sure if this track is off his forthcoming album or what, but I have to admit this is a little bit of a sexy smooth song. It has its Timberlake elements, and also at times sounds like the song should be sung by a boy band. After a couple of listens though it does stay in your head, and although there isn’t much going on lyrically, I have to say if this is the next step in his career, he could be doing all the right things. That being said, it does sound A LOT like a Timberlake track, which wouldn’t be a problem at all if the king wasn’t making his comeback this year.

NEW MUSIC: Justin Timberlake – Mirrors

After his amazing performance at the Grammys, Justin Timberlake graces us with another leak off his highly anticipated album 20/20 Experience, with ‘Mirrors’. Now, after a couple of listens, I feel a bit in between with this song. There is nothing progressive about the music, it sounds like it could be just a leftover from his Futuresex/Lovesounds era, but at the same time it kind of fits in with his new look. I’m not complaining about it, I love it, but I feel like he needs to ditch Timbaland because the beat is doing nothing for this song, it’s your standard Timbo beat. All that being said, it is another smash just like everything Timberlake touches, and it won’t hold me back from buying this album. In conclusion ‘Suit & Tie’ still stands as the winner so far.

I desperately need that ‘Pusher Love Girl’ leak though, like yesterday!

The amazing french band, Yelle, is back with an absolutely stunning new song that has a little chopped and screwed sound to it. Yelle is known for their upbeat pop sound, and although they haven’t lost that sound, they just kind of slowed it all down a bit. I have to say, I’m loving this new sound so much! If this is what their album is going to sound like, I’m all for it!

NEW MUSIC: James Blake – Retrograde

James Blake made quite the impact with his self titled debut album, getting so much praise from critics around the world. He now returns with his new single ‘Retrograde’ off his upcoming album Overgrown. Retrograde is classic James Blake, chilled out soul music at it’s finest. I also have to point out the vocal growth of James Blake, he sounds absolutely amazing on this track!

I can’t explain how bad the US needs some James Blake in our lives, and I hope his next album will gain him some success over here. Anyway, I’m extremely excited to hear Overgrown which will be released on April 8th, but until then enjoy the epicness of Retrograde below!
