conrad-sewell-all-i-know-cover

I’m a little behind on this one, part of the reason is because I have been listening to this EP on repeat since it’s release. For those who don’t know Conrad Sewell, check out our post for our Artists to watch this year. This guy has so much talent, and last month he gave us a taste of what his album will sound like in the form of the, All I Know, EP.

NEW MUSIC: Katy B x KAYTRANADA – Honey

2eacca43

Katy B has been one of all-time favorites since the beginning, and I am so glad she is back to making music. Katy B officially announced her album title, Honey, and gave us the self-titled track off the album.

“Honey” is smooth, sexy, and filled with R&B vibes all over it. She collaborated with producer KAYTRANADA to find the perfect beat that gives Katy’s vocals life. Katy has also released the tracklist for her upcoming album, which is due out April 29th, and it is filled with collaborations from, Craig David, Major Lazer, J Hus, and so many more talents.

Anyway, take a listen to the track below and after the jump you will find the tracklist to the album!

NEW VIDEO: Coldplay – Hymn For The Weekend [Ft. Beyonce]

Always been a huge Coldplay fan, this time around is no different. This track is still on heavy rotation, along with a lot of their mos recent album, A Head Full of Dreams. Coldplay has always been a visually pleasing band, as far as music videos are concerned. This video is set in Mumbai and is no different, although I kind of was expecting the theme for the video to be different considering the lyrics. Either way, I’m still loving this song, maybe even a little more now that the video has been released.

Coldplay will be the halftime show at one of the biggest stages in the world, The Superbowl. It will be interesting to see what they do with their setting. We know Beyonce is going to make a guest appearance, but here is to hoping she doesn’t steal the show.

NEW VIDEO: Zayn Malik – Pillowtalk

Here we go.

We finally get to hear the first solo material from the One Direction boys. Zayn jumped out of the band at the perfect time, causing an uproar and giving him the extra momentum to be able to come back on his own stronger.

I am really feeling this track, it has the makings for quite the epic ballad. Zayn definitely did something completely different from his 1D days, and it completely worked. Zayn takes us on a much sexier side, and even uses his first ever cuss word in a song. There are moments in this song that I can definitely hear some Chris Brown, Miguel, and The Weeknd all mixed into one.

If this is just his debut solo track, this man can only get better. I am completely here for Zayn’s solo efforts and I really hope he sticks to this sound.

If you haven’t read The Fader’s exclusive interview they did, I really recommend checking it out, it gives you a whole different perspective on the group known as One Direction.

NEW VIDEO: One Direction – History

A little slow to post this one, but here we have, what may be, the final music video from the foursome known as One Direction. The video is pretty spot on with the song, it takes clips from their whole journey from the X-factor to becoming worldwide superstars. It also seems like it takes a little jab at Zayn because every time they show him in the video it just so happens to be behind the lyrics, “Thought we were going strong”.

With Zayn being the first to release his solo project, “Pillowtalk”, on Friday, only time will tell how the other boys will match up with him.

NEW VIDEO: Jess Glynne – Ain’t Got Far To Go

One of my favorites, Jess Glynne, has just released her video for her smash single “Ain’t Got Far To Go”. The visuals for this track see Jess basically just having fun and even busting out a couple of moves. This track is definitely one of the standouts on an equally amazing album.

She hasn’t quite hit it off here in the USA, but her tour has been doing well so far, and I get to see her next week. I know she won’t disappoint live, and being supported by another favorite, Conrad Sewell.

ALBUM REVIEW: Rihanna – ANTI

rihanna-anti-cover

Rihanna just dropped her comeback single, “Work“, today and it had all her fans freaking out about her return to the music scene. The album got so much hype, we all knew a leak was bound to happen, and we were right.

Rihanna played it smart and decided to release the album in full as soon as the leak dropped in hopes of not losing out on some money. As big of a superstar Rihanna is, I am expecting some decent tracks, because the single wasn’t in line with her standards. She has decided to leave out “BBHM” and “FourFiveSeconds” from her final album tracklist, which probably comes from the decision that each track was released months apart and months ago, so they don’t really fit with the theme of this album.

Those who haven’t heard it, can download it for FREE, for some reason, HERE

After the jump, I’ll give you my full take on the return of Rihanna!

NEW MUSIC: Charlie Puth – We Don’t Talk Anymore [Ft. Selena Gomez]

charlieputh

I have to admit, I haven’t been the biggest Puth supporter as of late. His duet with Meghan Trainer was just terrible, and although I did enjoy his verse on ‘See You Again’, it got played out fast.

That being said, ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ is bringing a more mature sound for the crooner. The track was surprisingly produced my Charlie himself, and comes off his solo album due out in a couple of days, Nine Track Mind. It brings a more sultry sound accompanied by the smooth Selena Gomez vocals that we are all to used to hearing. I am mainly a fan of the production of this track, which gives me a little hope since he produced it.

I’m not saying this track is anything to run home about, but I like this side of Puth, and it is easily set for a top 10 just on the feature alone.
