NEW MUSIC: Skylar Grey – C’mon Let Me Ride [Ft. Eminem]

The talent behind a lot of recent hit singles, Skylar Grey tries to make a hit single with ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’. She went all kinds of radio friendly for this single, as opposed to her other attempts at a hit record, and I’m not sure how I feel about this right now. On first listen, I’m not a fan at all with the exception of the Eminem feature. It reminds me of a very dirty children’s sing-a-long. I do believe this has a chance on the charts though, so maybe it will grow on me.

NEW MUSIC: Jai Paul – Flip Out

Although Jai Paul has only released 2 tracks, this being his 3rd, he is probably one of my favorite artists in the past couple of years. ‘Flip Out’ is just as amazing as his previous tunes, it has a sort of dramatic movie feel toward it by throwing a lot of different sounds in the mix. I’ve been waiting for that Jai Paul album since ‘BTSTU’ was first released, and now at least he is making signs of life in the industry, and I can get on board with that.

Good music takes time.
Also if you haven’t heard ‘Jasmine‘ and ‘BTSTU‘, do it now!

NEW MUSIC: Ke$ha – Supernatural

After months of waiting from first hearing the snippet, ‘Supernatural’ finally leaks in full. I have to say this is absolutely amazing, and doesn’t even give the snippet credit. ‘Supernatural’ is a little bit of ‘Where Have You Been’ but miles better because its Ke$ha with a big chorus, and a huge beat drop, this will definitely take off on the charts. While I understand exactly why Ke$ha released ‘Die Young’ as her first comeback single, I would have fully supported this track as a debut single. All that being said, I’m so glad I can finally listen to this in full.

Enjoy!

NEW MUSIC: Cher – Woman’s World

Yes, I am making a post on Cher, get over it. After a long hiatus from the industry, Cher surprisingly release a smash as her comeback single ‘Woman’s World’. Produced by Paul Oakenfold, Cher does exactly what she does best and belts over an amazing dance beat, just like she has done before. Nothing groundbreaking going on here, just Cher doing what she was known to do. I’m not sure how well this will catch on to the charts, but I do see some sick remixes coming from this, and who knows, maybe Cher will once again top the charts!

NEW MUSIC: JoJo – We Get By

After postponing her Jumping Trains album once again, she announced recently the release of a new mixtape titled Agápē which is set for release on December 20th. ‘We Get By’ is a funky track, in which JoJo flows perfectly over. JoJo has always been one of my favorites, and I think she is completely underrated. I’m not sure what is taking so long with the release of her next album, but I guess I can make do with a mixtape.

NEW MUSIC: Ke$ha – C’mon

After her comeback release of ‘Die Young’, she is slowly building up to the release of her next album Warrior. She gives us another taste of her much anticipated album with ‘C’mon’, and I have to say this track is amazing! I wasn’t a fan of her generic sounding ‘Die Young’ and I thought she should have brought a little more, and this track brings everything that ‘Die Young’ left behind. ‘C’mon’ is definitely a number 1 hit, and it’s only a matter of time till this track takes over the radio!

NEW MUSIC: Inc. – 5 Days

The smooth soulful duo of inc. releases another masterpiece with ‘5 Days’. They first gained my attention with their equally amazing release of ‘The Place‘ a couple of months back, now they are readying their debut album out next year. ‘5 Days’ is smooth with a definite R&B feel to it. From everything I have heard from inc. I have loved, so I’ll definitely be on the lookout for that album.

Enjoy!

NEW VIDEO: One Direction – Little Things

I know this isn’t new, but I have just started listening to their most recent album, which is pretty much a repeat of their debut album, with just a little progress from a few tracks like this one. There is no denying that Ed Sheeran wrote this track, maybe that’s why I like it. The video is very stripped back from what they are used to, which is good because this track doesn’t need that much to make it better. I’m not sure what it is that draws me to One Direction, maybe because I followed them on X-factor while they were gaining their success, either way I’m always interested in seeing what they do next. There is also no denying that they are pretty good singers. Anyway, I’ll still be a fan for now.

NEW MUSIC: Pitbull – Feel This Moment [Ft. Christina Aguilera] + Have Some Fun [Ft. The Wanted & Afrojack]

This post is mainly for the Christina Aguilera feature, because I have never really been a pitbull fan especially since he ruined that Michael Jackson remake. While Christina Aguilera remains to have one of the most amazing vocals of our generation, she doesn’t suite well over a dance track. I can definitely see this track gaining some success, because pitbull does have the beats to back up his so called ‘rap’ that no one can ever understand. Christina does sound amazing as ever, and who knows, maybe once I hear this track over and over again I will start to like it.

Pitbull has also collaborated with The Wanted, which has a very powerful beat, which is much more catchy than this song. The song samples Sheryl Crow’s ‘All I Wanna Do’ in the chorus, followed by a heavy beat breakdown that will also rule the charts.

For those that like this, Pitbull’s album Global Warning is due out November 16th.
