Jessie J has given us so many bangers over the last 6 years, there is no doubt about that. Many of her stand out tracks have been those from an emotional place (“Who You Are” “Big White Room“), but there is something different about this track.
“Think About That” comes from a whole different place, and while it is emotional it is also a masterpiece. She croons her amazing vocals over a simple hip-hop piano fused beat. The lyrics pick up and she opens up about the relationship damaging not only her life but her career. We have always been a huge supporter of Jessie J and her talent, so its refreshing to have her back.
This may be one of my favorite songs from her since her debut album back in 2011. She announced her next studio album R.O.S.E will be out this year, and this is the first single. We are so excited to hear this album and we are finally hoping she throws a US tour behind it!
I’m just now hearing this new Iggy track, and I’m not quite sure how I feel about it. When I first listened to it, I thought it was a jam. I have listened to it a couple of times since then and I just don’t see the star quality in her.
She had huge success with “Black Widow” and to me, that was about it. This song is missing a feature and lacking a catchy chorus. To be honest, that is all Iggy’s major hits were good for. She also took the Justin Bieber route in making a dance video for this track, which we all know the Biebs can’t be taken down at this moment.
I don’t see this track doing well, and I’m calling another failure by Iggy. Bye.
Where do I begin with 14th, all I can say is they are amazing! They are still a fresh band, so they have about 3 tracks out right now, which you can treat yourself to on their soundcloud. With their latest single ‘Take Me There’ taking over my ears, they have officially dropped visuals for it, and they are just as awesome as the song. The song takes a trip back to the 90’s with the beat and vocals, and just feels right all together. Take a listen to the ear sex that is ‘Take Me There’ below!
