NEW MUSIC: Mike Will Made It -Nothing is Promised [Ft. Rihanna]

I’m not sure if anyone else heard that 30 second snippet on Rihanna’s Instagram from what feels like years ago teasing new music. Well, now that Anti is out and a complete flop, we finally have a banger that should have been included on her album to give it that Rihanna swag that we all love.

This is where Rihanna has been shining more recently, this track is giving her something different and standing out that no one is really doing right now. Granted, after letting some tracks set in, my mind has changed since the initial release of Anti. My stance on the album has a whole has not.

Enough about the album, I’m glad this track has finally surfaced because it gives us a reminder of that Rihanna flow that we love.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Mullally

It s about that time for another Artist Spotlight, this one has just sprung up on me a couple of weeks and he goes by the name of Connor Mullally, or Mullally. He hails from the UK and is self described as as an “edgy, zesty, neo-soul” singer, which I think is just the perfect fit for him. He is the perfect blend of Adam Levine and Maverick Sabre, which are both phenomenal vocalists.

Mullally has a certain twang in his voice that gives him such a soulful edge which can easily set him apart from the rest. He doesn’t have much under his belt just yet, a few YouTube covers, and some originals which only were released recently.

I got hooked instantly on Mullally when I heard him sing his original “Lie With me”. The version below has been on repeat since I first came across it. There is some serious vocal talent here, and not to mention the song itself is well written. This guy is a force.

NEW VIDEO: Aaron Carter – Fool’s Gold

Here at LLM, I am all about the music and won’t make any remarks to what may or may not have been an ignorant social media rant by this man.

Anyway, the former child star has been making moves as of lately, and it seems he finally created a smash. I have heard tracks from him here and there, but I only remember him from his early days where he was almost the 90’s version of Justin Bieber. He is all grown up on his newest single, “Fool’s Gold”. With the likes of Flume and AlunaGeorge gaining so much popularity, this track is right down that lane. The visuals make this song so much better, he brings a more artsy side to a sexy song and I have to respect that.

This track, at times, reminds me of “Pillowtalk”, which isn’t a bad thing at all. The production might be a step ahead of it, and without a label behind him, I have a lot of respect for this song as a whole.

Aaron Carter’s fifth album, LOVE, is due out sometime this year. With this being the leading single, I am giving this man my support.

NEW VIDEO: M.O – Who Do You Think Of?

I keep trying to push M.O because I believe that they are giving us something that these other girl groups are lacking at the moment. M.O have a sort of flavor with their music that is missing from the business right now. Their track productions are definitely a step ahead and you can easily find the UK dance floor vibes embedded in the track.

I am a huge fan of this trio and still think they are doing big things. If you haven’t checked out their EP Good Friends, yet, I highly suggest you give it a spin!

NEW MUSIC: Clean Bandit – Tears [Ft. Louisa Johnson]

Clean Bandit just returned with an absolute smash!

This is definitely a summer banger and Clean Bandit’s biggest tune to date. The production is intricate, powerful, and just all out perfection. It lets Louisa’s vocals just sore over an infectious dance floor beat.For those that don’t know, Louisa Johnson is last years X-Factor UK winner, and this is her first solo track that she has put out (Aside from her winners single).

For Louisa this is a perfect debut and for Clean Bandit this is how you return back to the game. This track is going to easily be a number 1 smash in the UK there is no telling if this track will catch on here in The States because “Rather Be” took some time. If it happens to gain success here in the US, Louisa will definitely have some worldwide credit.

NEW VIDEO: Ariana Grande – Into You

With the release of Ariana’s latest album, Dangerous Woman, in FULL effect. She gives us her second single off the album, “Into You’. This song is definitely a smash, just like a lot of her tracks of the album.

This video gives me a very, “We Found Love” vibe which is never a bad thing because visually it remains a standout in the past decade. Anyway, we easily have another smash on hands for Ariana and her album is still killing the charts.

If you haven’t heard Dangerous Woman, I highly suggest you check it out because it is pop gold.

NEW MUSIC: Felix Snow – Lamb [Ft. Ro Ransom]

Felix Snow has been a more recent addition to my radar since he released the banger with SZA, “Lies” , which is a huge summer anthem. Now he gives us something off his upcoming project, Nukes In The Kitchen, which is another smash, “Lamb”.

At first listen, this track is definitely giving me old school N*E*R*D vibes, which is a sound that the music business definitely needs to get back. Everything about the track is very basic but the best part of this track is that it doesn’t need anything else. It is perfection in so many ways and I absolutely can’t wait to hear what else Felix Snow is going to throw at us!

NEW VIDEO: Leo Kalyan – Daydream

Leo Kalyan has been on my radar for quite some time, but I just never found the right time to introduce you to this rising talent. With the release of his newest visual for “Daydream”, there really isn’t a better way to start.

Leo Kalyan hails from the UK and gives us a perfect blend of smooth sexy R&B mixed with a little pop flavor which makes for some seriously good music. This track was released back in March, but after seeing the accompanying visuals, I couldn’t let this go unnoticed. Leo gave Complex a quote about this song which sums it up perfectly, “It’s a song about your imagination being the only place where you are free”.

Get educated now, this guy is going to be big!

NEW MUSIC: MNEK – At Night (I Think About You)

Those of you who are new here will know the talented MNEK from his worldwide smash hit with Zara Larsson, “Never Forget You“. The earlier followers will remember him from his countless bangers such as, “The Rhythm” or “Wrote A Song About You“.

While I still wait for his debut album to drop, another banger will have to do. MNEK gives us his usual life changing track in the form of “At Night”. This track is almost “Never Forget You” part 2, which is not a bad thing at all. MNEK has always been doing something different where he throws his impressive vocals over a drum and bass beat. The buildup is just as enticing as the drop which makes for a perfect smash.

I am still waiting for word on his debut album, but I know good music takes time so this will definitely hold me over for a little while!

NEW VIDEO: Gorgon City – Impaired Vision [Ft. Tink & Mikky Ekko]

Gorgon City is coming back so strong with this track. To start off, it features the amazing talents that are Tink and Mikky Ekko, paired with an extremely heavy beat produced by Gorgon City. Tink’s flow is just flows so perfectly paired with Mikky’s, almost, haunting chorus, this track is just so fantastic.
