NEW MUSIC: Danity Kane – Lemonade [Ft. Tyga]

The wait is finally over! Danity Kane has premiered their first official comeback single of the year, and it’s straight fire! While there is a lot of speculation going around on why Aundrea isn’t on the song, it is still very refreshing to hear a track with a legit girl group. Danity Kane has to be one of my favorite girl groups, and I’m so glad they decided to make a comeback.

‘Lemonade’ has is everything that is needed on the airwaves today, it’s modern, and while it does sample a Clipse track, I feel it is bringing something unique and different.  There isn’t really an older girl group out there right now, and Danity Kane already has a reputation in being one of the best around.

Still patiently waiting ‘All In A Days Work‘.

NEW VIDEO: Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake – Love Never Felt So Good

Video treatment has been given to a song that has grown on me quite a bit since it’s release, ‘Love Never Felt So Good’. The video is basically just a fun tribute to the King, in which a bunch of dancers are singing MJ’s part, while JT comes in during his verse and channels a little MJ. Nothing big to it, just a tribute to show us how much we need The King back. I still have yet to hear the entire Xscape album, but from what I have heard, it isn’t half bad at all.

Enjoy!

NEW MUSIC: Jazmine Sullivan – Dumb [Ft. Meek Mill]

jazmine-sullivan-dumb

The talented Jazmine Sullivan broke all of our hearts when she claimed to retire from the business, but good news, she is back and better than ever! Jazmine Sullivan’s powerhouse vocals return on a track featuring Meek Mill titled ‘Dumb’. She sounds better than ever on this track, and the track itself is definitely doing something different than anything on the airwaves right now. I fully believe this track is going to be a huge success for her, and I imagine that her much needed return is going to be highly anticipated!

YES.

NEW ARTIST: George Barnett

I don’t know too much about this guy, but all I need to know is that he is an amazing artist, with a very unique set of skills. The video above shows everything that sold me on this guy, and I’m sure if you watch it all the way through you will fall in love. The song itself is a work of art, and anyone who can produce a track in front of my eyes has my attention. This guy might not have the biggest following just yet, but watch out for him because I know I will be. All I know, is that he has my full support!

I’m about to jump into the stream of his album, and probably purchase it after that, as you should too.

Check out some more awesomeness from George Barnett after the jump!

NEW MUSIC: Michael Jackson – Chicago

michael-jackson-xscape

Taken from his upcoming posthumous album, Xscape, the Timbaland produced track ‘Chicago’ gets its leak. You know, I have to say, this album is actually not bad from what I have heard so far. I was very scared to hear this upcoming album, but after his previous release ‘Love Never Felt So Good‘, I changed my mindset. It is very refreshing to hear the raw vocals of the king again, and this track brings it all. The production is a little bit weak, and I don’t think MJ would have settled with that, but I’ll take what I can get at this point.

This might be an album worth checking out.

NEW MIXTAPE: BOOTS – WinterSpringSummerFall

YES YES YES

BOOTS has slowly made his way on to my radar after some fantastic releases. After finding out he basically produced Beyonce’s newest album, I was very intrigued to see what he was able to do on his own. He released ‘Howl‘ and many other tracks that I have grown to love and keep on repeat. Now he finally graces us with his ever so smooth and haunting mixtape WinterSpringSummerFall, and even though I have just begun to listen to it, I can tell, just like everything else BOOTS has put out, this will not disappoint!

favorite track so far: No More

Check out the whole thing after the jump!

NEW MUSIC: Usher – Good Kisser

usher-good-kisser

Ladies and gentlemen, Usher is back. He had a couple of years of setback tracks while he followed the trend of dance music, and it was all terrible. ‘Good Kisser’ is definitely a step in the right direction and this is the kind of progression that we were looking from him.  I’m not sure who produced this track, but it is near perfect, and Usher sounds great.

While I don’t see the general public loving this too much, and I have to say this isn’t the best that he could have done. Lets be honest though, anything over dance music is genius. Usher plans to release his album in September, and I’m feeling a lot better about this album than his previous attempts at music.

Here’s to Usher making his long awaited comeback!

NEW MUSIC: Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake – Love Never Felt So Good

I am indifferent on the posthumous album of the King, on one hand I feel like it never hurts to hear MJ’s voice, but on the other hand I feel like The King should have a hand in releasing his own material because we all know it would have been perfect.

That being said, I had to give it a listen when I heard that the one and only Justin Timberlake was featured on it. I have to say, while it is nothing even close to what either one of these guys can do on their own, it seems like they took the simple approach and kept it very old school. I can’t say this will be on repeat or it will be remembered in 10 years time like either of their solo material, but it’s good.

I am nervous to hear the rest of the album, but from the 2 tracks I have heard, I hate to admit it, are decent.

NEW MUSIC: Ariana Grande – Problem [Ft. Iggy Azelea]

ariana-iggy-problem

Ariana Grande brings all the fire for her next album. Ariana definitely has a voice on her, and this song definitely is a step in the right direction. ‘Problem’ will take over the airwaves over summer, and there is no denying that she has another hit on her hand. She recently performed this track at some radio disney award show, and I have to say I’m very impressed, this girl definitely has a great team behind her, and easily a future. Iggy kills it as usual, and I’m definitely looking forward to hearing what Ariana has in store for her next album!
