Surprising every single person on the internet, the great Jai Paul treats us with what could be one of the best mixtapes of the year. Giving us 16 untitled tracks, some of which include the incredible ‘Jasmine’ and BTSTU’, Jai Paul gives us everything we have been waiting for the past 6 years. There isn’t much else to say, just listen to it, and buy it because it is DEFINITELY worth the money.
I have never really been a fan of Fantasia, I watched her on Idol and since then her music hasn’t really been much interest to me. That being said, this track is probably her best track she has ever put out, and gets me excited to hear what she has going on this time around. I always pictured her as a gospel type of singer, not really pushing any boundaries or anything, but this track proves me wrong in all aspects. ‘Without Me’ has a sort of chopped and screwed feeling, kind of like a new version of ‘Motivation’, but with a Fantasia spin. It’s pretty much a genius piece of music, and you should listen to it immediately!
The dynamic duo that is TNGHT made up of Hudson Mohawke and Lunice are back with some more sick beats titled ‘Acrylics’. Their previous releases have been some of favorites, and still on heavy rotation today, and now they grace us with this heavy hitting tune. While I don’t prefer it over some of their tracks like ‘Higher Ground’, I have to say it definitely gets my hype, and I would love to hear this in a club or concert setting for sure. I need more from these two right now!
The future of R&B, MNEK, covers one of my favorite songs from Disclosure and AlunaGeorge, which has gained quite a bit of success since its release in the UK. Now upcoming artist, MNEK decides to put out a soulful cover of the song. This remix of his original cover of the song, done by the incredible Full Crate and FS Green, keeps the same vibe as the Disclosure version, yet adds a little smooth R&B flavor from MNEK. This song is genius, almost as good as the original, and I hope to hear MNEK’s voice traveling the world soon!
The beautiful miss JoJo is back with visuals from her track ‘Andre’ off her mixtape Agape, which if you haven’t checked it out your missing out. Anyway, the video is pretty simple, and JoJo looks probably the best she has ever looked in life and all this video makes me wish is that my name was Andre. I seriously hope for an album from this talent VERY soon, because the world is missing out if she doesn’t come out with one soon!

Robin Thicke attempts to sex it up in his new video for his upcoming single ‘Blurred Lines’. This song is actually quite good, compared to Thicke’s previous attempts at albums, the beat is a classic Pharrell sounding beat and Thicke sounds quite amazing on it. I could have done without the T.I feature and the annoying hashtag that are constantly in your face, but it doesn’t hurt the track musically. It definitely sounds like ‘Wanna Love You’ 2.0, which is never a bad thing since that song was a smash. I’m not sure how Thicke will do right now in the market since he picked the worst year to make a comeback, seeing as King Justin is back in the business, but I do love this song.

Absolutely Genius, that is all that needs to be said
As most of you are aware, I am this man’s biggest fan and I will prove you wrong if you try and compete with my statement. He has finally decided to hit the studio after almost 7 years, and now has ever so kindly graced us with what maybe the album to hold us over another 7 years (I seriously hope not).
I’ll save my review for later, after giving it time to settle in, but for now, I highly recommend you stop everything and tune out the world with The 20/20 Experience

Since the release of this song recently, it has been on non-stop repeat and also sparked my love for them once again, and now they have graced us with fantastic visuals. The video follows a kind of evil fairytale land, covering pretty much all popular fairytales we all know, in the most evil way possible. I love this duo, and I absolutely think they need way more success than they have at the moment!
Azealia Banks finally releases her debut single, from her upcoming album Broke With Expensive Taste, I have to say its freaking fantastic. It takes a couple of listens to grow, but when it comes down to it, it definitely sounds like an angry version of her previous hit single ‘212’. I’m not sure how well this track is going to do on the charts, seeing as it very different from her other radio friendly tracks, but I think now that she has a following she could do well.
