NEW MUSIC: CHVRCHES – Recover

Most of you may not have heard of CHVRCHES yet, they have just recently placed 5th in BBC’s sound of 2013, which is also filled with some of my other favorites including, AlunaGeorge and Angel Haze. CHVRCHES hooked me on their release of their track ‘Lies‘. They bring a very fresh Electronic yet Pop feel to their music, which in the end brings out some musical greatness.

Their new single “Recover” premiered today on BBC Radio, and just like their previous efforts, its perfection! The sound is definitely a change from their previous tracks, but yet, they keep their trademark stamp on it. The front woman sounds great over the semi dance electro beat. I see big things in the future for these guys, and I hope they hit the states soon, they are slowly becoming one of my favorites!

NEWS: Justin Timberlake Album Cover & Tracklist

The prince of pop is slowly teasing us with his highly anticipated comeback after his almost 7 year hiatus from the business. Justin Timberlake is ready to come back as he drops the cover to his epic album, The 20/20 Experience. The cover is flawless and classy just as expected, and it gets me more and more excited for this amazing album.

The tracklist is just as orgasmic as the cover, some of the titles are just perfection, and I know I’m jumping ahead of everything right now, but I can’t expect anything less from him. The single has delivered on all levels and the live youtube versions of ‘Pusher Love Girl’ and ‘That Girl’ definitely don’t disappoint either!

NEW MUSIC: Skream – Kreepin’

Skream has been one of my favorite producers recently, especially his work with Sam Frank. Now he comes back with a remix, I think, of probably my favorite Aaliyah song ‘If Your Girl Only Knew’. I was a bit hesitant on this at first, because it is very hard to do Aaliyah justice, but after a couple of listens, I think I like the feel of this song. It doesn’t change the song too much, it just gives it more of a dance feel that would work very well in an underground type setting fitting alongside Disclosure.

I could be extremely mistaken, and I could hate it in a couple of weeks. As of right now, I’m feeling it.

NEW MUSIC: Prince – Breakfast Can Wait

Funky to the max.

The Purple one is slowly making his return to the scene, releasing ‘Screwdriver’ last week, now with this sexy funk track ‘Breakfast Can Wait’. When it comes to Prince, he hardly disappoints, and this track is proof. ‘Breakfast Can Wait’ is basically just Prince doing exactly what he does best. Staying funky, and smooth just like he always has. Like before, there isn’t much to be said about this track, just listen and put on repeat!

NEW MUSIC: Rihanna – Jump [Ft. Theophilus London] (Club Cheval Remix)

‘Jump’ is definitely, if not the most, my most favorite cut off her Unapologetic album, and now it is finally gaining some attention getting remixed by Club Cheval. I don’t know much about Cheval, but I might have to look into more of their remixes because I have to say this is straight fire. The original was banging, but I think, I just might like this one just a bit more. If it’s possible, the song achieved a level of sexiness that I didn’t think was possible, and the added feature of one of my long time favorites Theophilus London fits so perfectly over the slowed down Ginuwine cover.

On a side note, that picture above is from Rihanna’s recent Terry Richardson photo shoot which I highly suggest you take a look at because it does Rihanna all the justice in the world!

NEW VIDEO: Bruno Mars – When I Was Your Man

Bruno Mars releases his 2nd video off his album Unorthodox Jukebox, titled ‘When I Was Your Man’. I’m a little bit disappointed with the video since there really isn’t much going on at all. I was expecting some kind of love story plot line, but when it’s all said and done, the song is definitely a hit, and the video won’t have any effect on it. That being said, there are plenty more single worthy songs on his album, and I’m hoping for a ‘Natalie’ release soon!

NEW MUSIC: Full Crate & Mar – Nobody Else

One of my favorite duo’s in the past couple of years has returned to make more eargasmic music. Full Crate & Mar each took a short break while creating some amazing solo projects, and now return together with a new sound. ‘Nobody Else’ is definitely more influenced on the underground dance scene that is quickly becoming more popular every where else in the world with the helps of Disclosure. ‘Nobody Else’ is less soulful but still flows with Mar’s sexy vocals. This track is pure greatness, and I always look forward to what these 2 can come up with next!

NEW MUSIC: Sam Smith – Lay Me Down

At last, the extremely talented Sam Smith releases a studio version of his amazing solo single ‘Lay Me Down’. I’ve already posted my thoughts on this song when I posted the acoustic version earlier in the week. The studio version sounds just as amazing as the acoustic, and now I’m extremely excited to see what else this talent’s career will hold in the future!

NEW MUSIC: Prince – Screwdriver

The legend that is Prince is back with some amazing new music titled ‘Screwdriver’. This track is definitely everything that Prince is musically, and if you’ve heard any Prince song it fits just perfectly with it, I love every moment of it. While it has been a while since we have heard from Prince, rumor has it that he has big things planned for this year and I guess it begins with this track. I look forward to hearing and hopefully seeing the next stage in Prince’s career!

I’m so glad this happened.

2 of my very favorite groups have joined forces to make this masterpiece. This track is smooth and perfect in every way, and Aluna’s vocals just seem right over a beat like this. Disclosure is definitely gaining some major respect, first ‘Latch’, now ‘White Noise’, I’m definitely excited to hear their future tracks. There isn’t much else to say about this track, except for just listen to it!
