Rico Love’s newest protegee, Rabbit releases her first single off her EP titled ‘#SOFUCKINFINE’, yes with the hashtag and all. Now I know this song has no lyrical depth or anything to offer musically, but for some reason its so nasty and dirty that I kind of like it. Rabbit is apparently a former stripper of some sort, which explains quite a bit, but I can’t help but like this track. Maybe I’m just in need of some good rap music aside from Azealia Banks, but I’m not sure.
Alright, I have to admit that I absolutely hated the catastrophe that was ‘T.H.E’ and poor Mick Jagger ruined whatever credibility he had by featuring on that song. Also, I’m not the biggest solo Will.I.Am fan, I do love when he comes together with the Black Eyed Peas, but as a solo artist, I think he hits rock bottom.
That being said, probably the only reason I love this song is the beat produced by Steve Angello, and the vocal features of Eva Simons. I don’t care for the Will.I.Am verse, and I probably never will, but the song is at least listenable, with a pretty sick beat behind it
I have been waiting for this track to drop since they released the teaser a couple of months back. Hudson Mohawke and Lunice, 2 amazing producers, definitely deliver on this track. The track fuses electronic and hip hop with some sick beats in between. This is a huge track and I can’t rave about it enough. Just listen below!
Azealia Banks comes hard with this HudMo produced track, Jumanji. Azealia banks is definitely one of my favorite female rappers out right now, and this beat is doing things I can’t even explain. She has a very house flavored rap towards her with the likes of ‘212’ and now this amazing track. She may be a bit cocky, but I love everything about her, and this track.
It’s amazing how poorly this song has done on the charts, it’s so good! That’s just how the business runs I guess, I fully support this song, and can’t wait to hear her album, she’s definitely bringing back originality. Move over Minaj and GaGa
Just discovered this amazingly talented man, Aaron Michael Cox. This track ‘Walk Away’ is a little slow jam funk mixed with some smooth R&B vocals and I have to say, it is absolutely amazing! I still don’t know too much about this guy, but from what I have heard so far, I’m seriously in love. I hope this guy releases more music in the near future because I will be on the lookout!
Not really sure who Anger Dimas is, but Steve Aoki is definitely one of my favorite DJ’s at the moment, and I don’t really care for Iggy Azalea either, but I have to say this song is pretty sick. The beat fuses Hip-Hop and Dance all into one. I actually only really like this song for the beat since I don’t care for Azalea’s verse, but anyway, take a listen and you might want to go party after hearing it!
Everyone please welcome, the British Justin Bieber, but better!
I know, I know, this is cheesy and stuff, but I actually really like this song. The Bieber comparisons are going to be made no matter what, but I truely believe that Conor is a better vocalist than The Biebs. The lyrics are of course your typical male teenager song about girls, but the beat is pretty sick. While you may not like it this song, it has already charted in the UK top 40, and I’m sure it won’t be long till he starts to get attention from over here.
The track is definitely more adult then ‘Boyfriend’, and to be honest, I’m not really sure why I like it more than ‘Boyfriend’, I just do. Maybe for the lack of ‘swag’ reference. Don’t judge his vocals on this song only, check this out, then make your judgements, and check out the other covers he has on youtube.
Anyway, This kid is going to take over the UK, and maybe the world.
Rumor has it, that he has jumped in the studio with the likes of Pharrell and Ne-Yo to work on his album. Just wait and see.
Usher is back on his R&B side with ‘Lemme See’. I’m confused on what his album will sound like since he previously released the iconic ‘Climax’ then followed it up with the dance track ‘Scream’. Now he is channeling his R&B side again with this track.
I do prefer this track over ‘Scream’ but I think the added Rick Ross feature makes it less desirable. I just don’t like Rick Ross as it is, so his verse doesn’t help the song, but I definitely think this song is a winner, I’m just waiting to see what kind of album he will drop.
This track is definitely my favorite off of her album, I can’t say the video is anything amazing like ‘We Found Love’ was, but she looks drop dead gorgeous as usual. She also brings some dance moves which is rare these days for her. There is really no plot towards this video, but the song doesn’t have much depth anyway. It’s just a mindless dance track, and the video shows that. I look forward to seeing what she does with this live.
