NEW MUSIC: Jessie Ware- Running

Up and coming artist Jessie Ware has released her new single titled ‘Running’ and it is AWESOME! She first caught my attention on UK producer Joker’s single ‘The Vision‘ which was a BIG track of last year. Then late last year she released her first debut solo single titled ‘The Strangest Feeling’ which you can hear below:

The track involves a lot of bass influenced beats with a drum accompaniment, and not to forget her smooth vocals over all this greatness. This seems to be the direction she is going for her album, and if it is, her album will be one to watch out for 2012!

NEW VIDEO: Childish Gambino- Heartbeat

Childish Gambino is proving that not only does he have rap skills, but he can easily fit just as well on an electronic based track. I actually really like this song and the video just makes it that much better. It’s definitely sexier than his other tracks and videos have been, and I love every bit of it. Dude definitely has some skill aside from comedy.

VIDEO: Adele’s 60 minute Interview

Right before her anticipating comeback from vocal rest, Adele first spoke to Anderson cooper on everything from her overnight success, to her famous relationship that gained her 6 Grammys last night. You can’t help but love everything about her, and she desereves every bit of success she gets.
It was just announced that her next single is ‘Rumor Has It’, one of the more uptempo tracks on the masterpiece. There is no doubt in my mind that, like the rest of her singles, it will reach number 1 for at least 3 weeks.

Who can stop the LEGEND?!?

2012 Grammy Performances

Tonights performances were very interesting, there were some by ‘artists’ that needed their nominations taken away (Nicki Minaj) and some that basically showed why they were owning the world (Adele), and even a heartfelt performance of the late legend Whitney Houston.

In addition, tonight Adele tied the record for winning the most Grammy awards in one night by a female with a total of 6 grammy’s tonight, sharing that record with Beyonce. While Adele is only 23 years old and just on her 2nd album in her career, I would say she is well on her way to plenty more records to be broken.

We Miss You Whitney Houston

Everyone knows what impact she had on the music business, so there definitely isn’t much left to say about her. She had a voice that no one could describe and that no one will ever forget. She sang some of the most iconic ballads of our time that will live on forever. She’s a legend that helped define unbelievable music and she will be missed.

NEW MUSIC: Cassie- King of Hearts

King of Hearts

Cassie, “musically” famous for ‘Me & U‘, but more famously for being Diddy’s  model chick on the side, has released her actually much anticipated single ‘King of Hearts’. Although her album was terrible, and she couldn’t carry a tune to save her life, she was able to build a pretty big fan base. She leaked plenty of tracks through the years hinting at her Electronic style direction and at the end of last year released her 30 second teaser for this song. I didn’t think too much of it but with all the hype going around this track I definitely thought it would be bigger than it is. I hate to say it but I do actually kind of like it, although it definitely doesn’t live up to the hype I have been hearing.

Check it out after the jump!

NEW VIDEO: Emeli Sandé Acoustic

The EXTREMELY talented soul singer from London, Emeli Sandé has done another SBTV A64 mixup of two of her tracks off her much anticipated album which is due out this year. For those that don’t know her, she broke out on the UK music scene with her track ‘Heaven‘, then kept the momentum going with one of my favorite tracks ‘Daddy‘,  and ‘Next To Me‘. There isn’t much left to say about her, just listen and enjoy.
