ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Rita Ora

As the title says, there has been some buzz going on with her recently, I heard her song ‘Hot Right Now‘ with DJ Fresh, which is a HUGE  dubstep/dance tune in the UK, but after that I didn’t really hear anything from her until more recently. She is signed to Roc Nation (Bridget Kelly, Jay Z,  & J.Cole) and is I’m hearing talks that she has premiered her first single ‘Party and Bullshit’ just a few hours ago on Z100. Aside from her being drop dead gorgeous, she is REALLY talented too. Check some of her videos after the jump!

NEW MUSIC: DMX – I Don’t Dance [Ft. Machine Gun Kelly]

Look’s like DMX is trying to break back into the music industry. He enlisted Bad Boy up and coming rapper Machine Gun Kelly, who has been a favorite of mine since I saw him live last year. It is a bit refreshing to hear actual rapping within 2 rappers, instead of auto-tune “singing”. I actually really like this track and he might have a chance with this one

NEW MUSIC: Rihanna – Birthday Cake [Ft. Chris Brown]

yup, you read correctly again.

Worldwide Megastar has gone and released one of her most anticipated songs on her Talk That Talk album, ‘Birthday Cake’. Aside from her ‘Turn Up The Music‘ collab with Breezy, this one just got its release too.

NEW MUSIC: Busta Rhymes – Why Stop Now (Remix) [Ft. Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, & Chris Brown]

Busta enlisted the legendary Missy Elliott and some other non important people for this big club track. I like the original, but the remix is SO much better. I’m bassically just interested in Missy appearing on tracks again. Her most recent collab with J.Cole is set to debut a music video soon too.Her album is due out sometime this year and if she still has the same creativity, she will blow out the charts just like she deserves to.

NEW EP: The Weeknd- ‘Balloons of Haus’ (Chi Duly Remix)

This isn’t an official The Weeknd mixtape, but rather a remixed version by Chi Duly, of some of his biggest tracks from previous mixtapes. It adds a more trance/house kind of feel to most of the tracks, taking away the R&B side of it and giving it a little more beat and bass. I haven’t heard the whole thing through yet, but from what I have heard its definitely not as good as the originals, but it doesn’t disappoint either. Anyway decide for yourself!

Also if you haven’t heard of The Weeknd, ‘House of Balloons‘ is still on HEAVY rotation

NEW MUSIC: Usher – Climax (Prod. by Diplo)

THIS is where Usher belongs! A little R&B and a little Electronic vibe. I absolutely LOVE this track. His dance stuff did sell quite a bit, but I definitely see this doing well if people know whats good. The track is produced by one of my favorite DJ’s, Diplo.  I’m not sure what the track is for, it might be for Diplo’s album, because I haven’t heard talks for Usher’s album yet, but who knows!
