NEW MUSIC: Joelle James – Fading Away [Ft. Chris Brown]

I have never heard of Joelle James, but apparently she was on American Idol and didn’t quite make it. I was skeptical on listening to this song, because of her American Idol background, but she has completely proved me wrong in all aspects. Joelle James has a sexy tone, kind of like Rihanna, but way better. She sings over a just as sexy beat, and I’m pretty much in love with her. The added, yet weird, feature of Chris Brown is also nice, It really didn’t need him, since she holds the track down on her own. I hope she blows up, because this track is so worth it!

NEW MUSIC: Ciara – Sweat [Ft. 2 Chainz]

Ciara is trying to get back on it after her latest flop albums with this new single ‘Sweat’. I haven’t really decided if its good or not, I don’t hate it, and I don’t love it. It’s nothing that will stand out on the radio, but I could see her giving a slay worthy performance of the song, since she is like the female Chris Brown. I have to give it a couple of run through plays before I make a final decision on it, check it out below!

NEW MUSIC: Calvin Harris – We’ll Be Coming Back [Ft. Example]

Super DJ of the moment, Calvin Harris drops his second single featuring UK talent Example titled ‘We’ll Be Coming Back’. Calvin has really been on top of his game lately, slaying the charts with Rihanna and Ne-yo, and now he plans to do it again with Example. This definitely won’t hit off in the USA because very few know Examples work, but it’s definitely going to be a hit in the UK.

Definitely not as hard hitting and dance based as ‘Where Have You Been’ or ‘Lets Go’, but still worth the listen, enjoy!

NEW MUSIC: Ellie Goulding – High For This (The Weeknd Cover)

Now the original Weeknd version of this song is what hooked me to them in the first place, but I have to say Ellie did an amazing job, she definitely added her own unique twist to it, and I love every bit of it. It doesn’t even compare to the original, but I absolutely love it, and I can’t wait for her to come out with new music, I love me some Ellie Goulding.

NEW MUSIC: Justin Bieber – Die In Your Arms

Justin Bieber is back trying to keep the ‘Boyfriend’ momentum going with his new single ‘Die In Your Arms’. I do have to admit, this is miles better than ‘swaggie’ and with a sample of the Kings ‘We’ve Got a Good Thing Going’ he adds his own little Jackson 5 touch to it. His voice still has to grow on me a little more but the high pitched voice that he still carries fits perfectly over a old school pop beat rather than trying to be a mini version of the nonexistent legend that is Justin Timberlake.

Perfect timing for him to come back right now, seeing the charts are full of dance/pop music and he comes out with this, its definitely time for some new flavors on the chart and I wouldn’t mind this blasting through the airwaves.

NEW MUSIC: Nicki Minaj – Pound The Alarm

While this isn’t ‘new’ music, this will be the ‘rappers’ newest UK single, and it’s new to me because I didn’t give her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album the time of day to reach my ears. This track is definitely miles better than the basic ‘Starships’, and she lives up to her actual title and throws a couple of rap verses in there, which she kills. The beat is definitely much more intense, and I hate to say it, but while this track isn’t nearly as good as her potential, she already sold out to the business and if this is going to be a single, at least it’s listenable

ALBUM STREAM: Alt-J – An Awesome Wave

First fell in love with Alt-J after hearing the bass hitting ‘Fitzpleasure’, and now he is back with a full free stream of his just as amazing album. An Awesome Waveis so good, its sound is pretty continuous throughout, with some dubstep influences but mainly just an all out electronic feel to it. His voice is unique, a bit like Alex Clare without the added rasp. After giving it a full listen through, it will definitely be worth the purchase.

An Awesome Waveis due out May 28th!
