NEW MUSIC: Lady Gaga – Burqa

After taking a bit of a break from the industry, Lady GaGa makes her much anticipated comeback with her new single ‘Burqa’ from her upcoming album ArtPop. I have never been the biggest GaGa fan, but I respect the artistry she has, unlike most artists today. That being said, while this single doesn’t sound like the final version, but it actually doesn’t sound too bad.

‘Burque’ has a very odd slow start, but then flows into quite a huge beat, with Gaga’s vocals equally matching the beat. Although at some points it sounds a bit of a mess, but that isn’t the point because it hasn’t hit its official release yet. It will be interesting to see what Gaga has for us this time, she usually can turn heads.

NEW VIDEO: Justin Timberlake – Take Back The Night

The king, Justin Timberlake, releases visuals for his first single from his upcoming album, The 20/20 Experience Part 2. ‘Take Back The Night’ has the sound of old school Jackson 5, and yet keeps it current to fit in with the top 40. Justin Timberlake can do no wrong in my books, and I am just as excited for part 2 of his album as I was about the 1st half.

NEW MUSIC: Jessie J – It’s My Party

When Jessie J first made her youtube debut, I fell in love with her perfect vocal ability. Since then she has released a mediocre debut album, and catchy yet generic pop singles that do nothing for her as an artist. I was excited for her to come out with new music when I heard ‘Wild‘ which ended up only being released in the UK and smashing the charts over there, but I loved it regardless.

As for ‘It’s My Party’, well it sounds like a step below ‘Domino’, and is probably her worst single to date. She has made no progression as an artist and is just following the pop trends. She has the talent to stand out but these trashy singles are going to get her left behind. Jessie J, step your game up!

NEW VIDEO: Nelly – Get Like Me [Ft. Nicki Minaj & Pharrell]

It seems as though Nelly is making quite a comeback, from his terrible country mixed single, and now to this. ‘Get Like Me’ has Pharrell productions written all over it, and I don’t mind at all. The beat is catchy, as are the lyrics, and throw on Nicki Minaj who is perfect when she is the feature of a track, you have a recipe for a top 40 smash.

NEW MUSIC: Jay-Z – Holy Grail [Ft. Justin Timberlake]

Jay-Z’s much anticipated album Magna Carta Holy Grail just leaked online, followed by this smash of a track ‘Holy Grail’ featuring the king Justin Timberlake. Now I have never been a huge fan of Jay-Z so I came here for the Justin Timberlake feature, and like always, never disappoints. I wasn’t too impressed with Jay’s verses, they just seemed to be there, with all the hype behind this album, it did nothing for me. I call this track a smash because of JT, again that could be biased, but I think without him this track would have fallen flat.

NEW MUSIC: Azealia Banks – ATM Jam [Ft. Pharrell]

Azealia Banks debuts a new single ‘ATM Jam’ which she premiered over Glastonbury weekend. ‘ATM’ is a hard hitting drum based single with a feature from Pharrell. I am a bit underwhelmed with it, although it might be a grower. I always compare her tracks to the track that got me hooked on her, ‘212’. Either way she goes in on this track like she usually does, but it’s just not my favorite Azealia tune.

NEW VIDEO: Tinie Tempah – Trampoline [Ft. 2 Chainz]

Tinie Tempah makes his much awaited return to the music business with the release of the smash hit ‘Trampoline’. Tinie has always been one to make tracks for the dance scene and this track is definitely no different. I don’t really care for the 2 chainz feature, but all together this track is definitely a club hit across the seas. I just hope, like so many other tracks, it gains success over here in the UK like his previous tracks did!

Ellie Goulding is re releasing her amazing Halcyon album later this year with a whole bunch of new tracks including this tune ‘Burn’. Although her previous album didn’t have much chart success, it is definitely still an album worth checking out. With the release of ‘Burn’ I’m assuming she is trying to gain some chart success, but that doesn’t mean she sold out to the business completely, this track still has Ellie written all over it. With the a huge beat produced by Ryan Tedder, and her smooth vocals makes for an absolute smash. This track should definitely gain some chart success all over the world and hopefully turn people on to her album!

NEW VIDEO: M.I.A – Bring The Noize

After almost a year after releasing ‘Bad Girls’, M.I.A returns with a banging new single ‘Bring The Noize’. This track is definitely a classic M.I.A tune, with the chopped and repeated vocal beat, and her classic M.I.A flow. This track is absolute perfection, and just gets me more and more excited for her new project I guess. I’m not sure when she is supposed to release her next album, but I’ll wait patiently, from the tracks I have heard so far it sounds like its going to be sick!

NEW VIDEO: Lorde – Tennis Court

Lorde has been gaining quite a bit of buzz recently over the internet, and just yesterday she released her video for her quite amazing single ‘Tennis Court’. If you don’t know Lorde, you will probably love her if your a fan of Lana Del Rey, they both sound very much the same. I hate to say it, but I haven’t seen anything yet that sets the 2 apart, which isn’t the worst thing in the world, but also no the best. I do love ‘Tennis Court’ although comparable to Lana, either way both are very good. Enjoy!
