NEW MUSIC: Carrie Underwood – Good Girl

American Idol winner, probably one of the 2 that actually are still around, Carrie Underwood is on to her 4th album. She just released the first single off of it and it definitely sounds like a winner. Just like her ‘Before He Cheats’ & ‘Undo It’ tracks, she uses those amazing vocals on and upbeat pop country beat and it sounds amazing. I love everything about Carrie Underwood and I’m definitely waiting for what she has in store for this album. I definitely see a lot of success for this album just like previous ones, she isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

NEW MUSIC: Rita Ora- Party and Bullshit

Previously mentioned Rita Ora, has released her much anticipated debut single.
I’m kind of disappointed with this track, I mean it’s catchy, and definitely a good song for the season, a little bit of a Jessie J rip off. She seems to have a lot going for her, but for a debut single, this isn’t up to par at all. Especially being a female, she has A LOT of competition right now and this doesn’t compete with the distinct sounds of what they debuted with at all.

I mean I like it, but I don’t see it furthering her career at all. I would have expected something more detailed, or more exciting than this.
I don’t know what direction she is going in for her album but let’s hope she doesn’t put out more ‘Radio friendly’ tracks.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Rita Ora

As the title says, there has been some buzz going on with her recently, I heard her song ‘Hot Right Now‘ with DJ Fresh, which is a HUGE  dubstep/dance tune in the UK, but after that I didn’t really hear anything from her until more recently. She is signed to Roc Nation (Bridget Kelly, Jay Z,  & J.Cole) and is I’m hearing talks that she has premiered her first single ‘Party and Bullshit’ just a few hours ago on Z100. Aside from her being drop dead gorgeous, she is REALLY talented too. Check some of her videos after the jump!

NEW VIDEO: Ryan Keen- Focus

Been following this guy ever since he was decided to open for Ed Sheeran in his UK tour, and now he has released a video for his song ‘Focus’. This song is so good, and this video is definitely one of my favorites. You just want to keep watching, and yet its such a simple concept, I love every bit of it. Watch out for this guy in the coming year, definitely some big UK talent right here.

NEW MUSIC: DMX – I Don’t Dance [Ft. Machine Gun Kelly]

Look’s like DMX is trying to break back into the music industry. He enlisted Bad Boy up and coming rapper Machine Gun Kelly, who has been a favorite of mine since I saw him live last year. It is a bit refreshing to hear actual rapping within 2 rappers, instead of auto-tune “singing”. I actually really like this track and he might have a chance with this one

NEW MUSIC: Rihanna – Birthday Cake [Ft. Chris Brown]

Worldwide Megastar has gone and released one of her most anticipated songs on her Talk That Talk album, ‘Birthday Cake’. Aside from her ‘Turn Up The Music‘ collab with Breezy, this one just got its release too.
