NEW MUSIC: Kelly Rowland – Ice [Ft. Lil Wayne]

Kelly Rowland slows it down with her new single ‘Ice’. She enlists Lil Wayne again to try and rekindle their massive success with the amazing ‘Motivation’, and I must say it kind of works. I loved everything about ‘Motivation’, and although it sounds a bit like ‘Motivation 2.0’, in some way it still brings its own sound. I love Kelly Rowland, always have, and I really hope this brings some success which I’m sure it will. I always have a soft place in my heart for the Kelly Rowland dance tunes though.

NEW MUSIC: Keyshia Cole – Enough of No Love [Ft. Lil Wayne]

Keyshia Cole is back with her new single ‘Enough of No Love’ assisted by the rapper no one really cares about anymore Lil Wayne. She belts out her powerful vocals over a nice smooth R&B beat, and I think this is an amazing comeback track. We have been missing some real R&B, and now the females are bringing it back with Alicia Keys, now Keyshia Cole, and next up Kelly Rowland. This track is great, while I don’t care at all for Lil Wayne at all, but whatever, I love me some Keyshia Cole!

NEW MUSIC: Azealia Banks – Nathan [Ft. Styles P]

Azealia Banks yet again delivers a sick track. She releases another single off her mixtape Fantasea titled ‘Nathan’ in which she flows over an equally sick beat. She is basically just keeping it the way she always has, and for now its completely working. Azealia Banks is definitely one to watch out for, and she hasn’t even released an album yet!

NEW MUSIC: Alicia Keys – New Day

I have been hesitant to post this new Alicia because I’m just not that big of a fan of it. She tries to make her comeback by enlisting her husband Swizz Beats to produce this new track. I love Alicia, even if her last album was hit or miss, but this track doesn’t break any boundaries at all. The beat is your generic Swizzy beat, and Alicia doesn’t do anything vocally to impress anyone. It is a good move to keep it sort of R&B, since there is none of that going on commercially. She has to compete with Keyshia Cole and now Kelly Rowland who are both releasing tracks featured with Lil Wayne pretty soon. So far this is the bottom of the 3 R&B females for me, but it’s nice to hear Alicia again.

NEW MUSIC: A$AP Rocky – Ridin’ [Ft. Lana Del Rey]

Fresh off the release of the ‘National Anthem’ starring A$AP, he releases his 2nd single off his album featuring the amazing Lana Del Rey. The snippet of this song was released a couple of months back and it was a big freak out track. It was supposed to be featured on The Kickdrums mixtape, but was pushed back due to the hype of the track. Now it has finally leaked in full version and it definitely doesn’t disappoint. I can’t say that I’m a fan of A$AP because I have very few interest in ‘rappers’ these days, but that’s a whole different story. I have to say this track has given him a little life, and I just might have to check out some of his stuff.

NEW MUSIC: Chris Brown – Mirage [Ft. Nas]

While “R&B” singer Chris Brown continues to churn out dance tracks for the money, he still occasionally releases quite a gem, and this is one of them. ‘Mirage’ features the legend Nas, and is absolutely amazing. The beat fits over Chris’s vocals and the added feature from Nas is just as good.  I seriously wish he would go back to his beginning roots and pull some R&B tracks out again, but that is long gone. For now we just have to deal with the occasional track that will get no kind of exposure. Oh well.

NEW MUSIC: Rochelle Jordan – Losing

One of my favorite R&B singers out right now has released yet another winner. Rochelle Jordan is definitely keeping it smooth with this track, and you can’t deny the Aaliyah vibes she has going on. Definitely love everything about this girl, and it is nice to have some hope that R&B hasn’t completely lost its way in the world of dance music.

Thank you RoJo!

NEW MUSIC: M.I.A. – Bad Girls (Switch Remix) [Ft. Missy Elliott & Rye Rye]

The extremely talented M.I.A is set to release the Bad Girls Remixes EP, and this is the first leak off of it. It features the legendary Missy Elliott and Rye Rye, remixed by Switch. I don’t really have to say anything at all about this track, the features and production credits explain it all. It’s absolutely genius, I need more M.I.A music in my life. Take a listen via Sharebeast for now until I figure out how to upload a copy to the site!

NEW VIDEO: Eva Simons – Renegade

After releasing her first solo single ‘I Don’t Like You‘, she comes back with the new dubstep inspired track ‘Renegade’. As for right now, Renegade is definitely not as good as ‘I Don’t Like You’, but it might grow on me. She definitely has some serious talent, and she fits perfectly over the electronic/dance genre. I would like to see what she has on her own, and see if she can hold down her own live performance especially with the type of vocals I’m hearing off of these tracks she has been releasing.

NEW VIDEO: Melanie Fiona – This Time [Ft. J. Cole]

Definitely one of the most underrated artists of our generation, Melanie Fiona releases her next video for the J. Cole assisted track. I love Melanie Fiona, always have, always will, she is so different and pretty much anyone who appreciates the art of music will tell you how underrated she is. Such a talent, she will get her recognition in due time.
