NEW MUSIC: Usher – Good Kisser

usher-good-kisser

Ladies and gentlemen, Usher is back. He had a couple of years of setback tracks while he followed the trend of dance music, and it was all terrible. ‘Good Kisser’ is definitely a step in the right direction and this is the kind of progression that we were looking from him.  I’m not sure who produced this track, but it is near perfect, and Usher sounds great.

While I don’t see the general public loving this too much, and I have to say this isn’t the best that he could have done. Lets be honest though, anything over dance music is genius. Usher plans to release his album in September, and I’m feeling a lot better about this album than his previous attempts at music.

Here’s to Usher making his long awaited comeback!

NEW MUSIC: Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake – Love Never Felt So Good

I am indifferent on the posthumous album of the King, on one hand I feel like it never hurts to hear MJ’s voice, but on the other hand I feel like The King should have a hand in releasing his own material because we all know it would have been perfect.

That being said, I had to give it a listen when I heard that the one and only Justin Timberlake was featured on it. I have to say, while it is nothing even close to what either one of these guys can do on their own, it seems like they took the simple approach and kept it very old school. I can’t say this will be on repeat or it will be remembered in 10 years time like either of their solo material, but it’s good.

I am nervous to hear the rest of the album, but from the 2 tracks I have heard, I hate to admit it, are decent.

NEW MUSIC: Ariana Grande – Problem [Ft. Iggy Azelea]

ariana-iggy-problem

Ariana Grande brings all the fire for her next album. Ariana definitely has a voice on her, and this song definitely is a step in the right direction. ‘Problem’ will take over the airwaves over summer, and there is no denying that she has another hit on her hand. She recently performed this track at some radio disney award show, and I have to say I’m very impressed, this girl definitely has a great team behind her, and easily a future. Iggy kills it as usual, and I’m definitely looking forward to hearing what Ariana has in store for her next album!

NEW VIDEO: MNEK – Every Little Word

Been a huge fan of MNEK since his debut on the scene, and every track he has put out since then has been pure fire. MNEK is now releasing his own material and breaking out as a solo act, and ‘Every Little Word’ is the perfect start to that. It has summer vibes all over it, and very well could be one of my favorite tracks of the year. MNEK is a force to be reckoned with, and I am very excited to see what else he puts out for us!

one to watch.

NEW MUSIC: BOOTS – Dreams [Ft. Beyonce]

BOOTS kind of came into the limelight all of a sudden, but through extensive research, he has been behind the scenes for quite sometime. Most noteably for basically writing Beyonce’s whole surprise album, which just so happens to be one of my favorite albums by her, it all makes sense now.  BOOTs is ready to make his own debut, from his previous releases of “Howl” and “Ride Ride Ride“, I have to say this guy has some serious talent.

Beyonce returns the favor by starring on one of BOOT’s singles titled ‘Dreams’, and let me tell you, this definitely has some serious potential. BOOT’s is about to shoot up to stardom in a matter of time, and this is only the beginning.

Listen, and keep an eye out!

NEW MUSIC: Iggy Azelea – Black Widow [Ft. Rita Ora]

iggy-azalea-black-widow

Always been a pretty big Iggy fan, and with the release of her smash tune, ‘Fancy’, she definitely hooked my interest on her upcoming album, The New Classic. The album has leaked, and I have to say it’s definitely a smash, and my favorite song to come off of it is definitely, the Rita Ora featured track, ‘Black Widow’.

Now, everyone knows how I feel about miss Rita, but all feelings aside, she killed the hook on this track. As usual, Iggy kills her flow, and this track is pure gold, I even see it getting some radio treatment, and maybe giving Rita the boost she knows to have a career that is worthy of her looks.

Anyway, I digress, listen below!

NEW VIDEO: Major Lazer – Aerosol Can [Ft. Pharrell]

I have to admit, I was definitely not a fan of this song upon its first release which is why I never gave it any time. Since that time, it has definitely grown on me. It is hard to hate on anything that Pharrell has a hand in making, still not his best, but then again it is a Major Lazer creation. Anyway, check out the video and jam!

NEW ARTIST: Kwabs

Kwabs

I have known about Kwabs for a while, but he was kind of one of those people that got forgotten about since his music process is one that takes time. With the release of his music video for ‘Right or Wrong‘, earlier this year, he sparked back up on my radar. It seems he is ready to come into the limelight with the release of a fantastic EP, Right or Wrong, and most recently his release of a huge track called ‘Something Right’, which can be heard below.

Kwabs definitely has soul written all over his vocals, but something else can be said about the production behind his big vocal tracks. Most of his tracks are produced by SOHN, which has just recently released material of his own. Kwabs is definitely one to watch for in the coming year, and although with the release of MNEK’s solo tracks adds to his competition, but Kwabs seems to be going in a different direction.

Anyway, keep an eye on this guy in the near future, big things shall happen!

Also, if you want to be at lost for words, watch him perform a track off his EP called ‘Last Stand’ live after the jump!

NEW MUSIC: Jennifer Hudson – Walk It Out [Ft. Timbaland]

hudson-walk-it-out

After releasing her fun and safe, T.I assisted single, ‘The Way I Feel’, Jennifer Hudson comes back pretty strong. Her new Timbaland assisted single ‘Walk It Out’, is a little more Rihanna flavored, but that doesn’t take away anything from Hudson, because lets be honest, the 2 don’t even compare. Jennifer Hudson shows us she can change her sound up and still sound amazing. I’m loving this track, definitely doing something she hasn’t done before. I want to hear more from this side, although her soulful ballad side is just as good, anyway take a listen below!
