NEW VIDEO: Dua Lipa – Hotter Than Hell

One of our Artists to watch just dropped a track that is, like the title, “Hotter Than Hell”. Every time Dua drops a track, I am more and more impressed that the pop world is in trouble with this talent. Her vocals, her beats, and her look make for the perfect combination for one of the most talented artists to catch their stride this year.

I really can’t wait to hear what else she has to offer for us this year, because whatever that may be, it is going to be huge!

NEW MUSIC: Justin Timberlake – Can’t Stop The Feeling

rFGXEd

With any Justin Timberlake song, I have to take some time to let it all calm down within me before I can make a non biased post. This man is just king.

Before I start, I am not sure if this track is for the movie only, or if it is a single off his next album which is due out later this year. JT has worked with Pharrell on this track, and you can easily see that as it sounds like “Happy” 2.0. That isn’t the worst thing in the world, because “Happy” did grow on me quite a bit, and ended up smashing the charts.

I was hoping for him to come a little harder with the track, but I can’t complain because I didn’t have to wait 6 years for new music. All of that being said, this track is absolutely perfect for the beginning of summer and it will definitely smash the charts, because it is easily a hit for the airwaves.

This is just the beginning of the Justin Timberlake era, and I’m so ready for all of it. Take a listen below!

This video makes me so happy.

NEW MUSIC: Calvin Harris – This Is What You Came For [Ft. Rihanna]

rihanna-calvin-harris-this-is-what-you-came-for

The duo that created the smash, “We Found Love”, is back for another summer time feel good song with, “This Is What You Came For”. This is the perfect time for both of them to release a collaboration like this, they are both very relevant right now, with Rihanna just releasing Anti, and Calvin Harris fresh off the success of “How Deep Is Your Love”.

I have to admit, this is definitely no “We Found Love”, but I think it will work. It all just sounds so basic and under produced to be able to compete with the charts right now. It is a good track, but I don’t see it doing well for too long, it will obviously chart because of the star power on the track but other than that it is just kind of there.

With Kesha and Zedd releasing a SMASH, this track should have brought a lot more to the table, and didn’t quite make it.

Take a listen below and let me know what you think!

NEW MUSIC: Kesha & Zedd – True Colors

Here we go.

We FINALLY have new music from Kesha, and I seriously couldn’t be more pumped. If you haven’t heard all the drama that has been going on with her since her last album in 2012, well there isn’t really anything I can do about that. Just know that she has been in a serious record label struggle that involves madman, Dr. Luke, and with her coming out with a new track gives us so much hope for her.

That being said, let’s get down to the important part, the music. Kesha sounds so raw, so filled with emotion as she soars over a Zedd produced beat. “I’ll show you my, my true colors”, might be one of the most powerful lyrics that can ever come out of her. This song is hopefully the beginning of a new Kesha, a new era of music for her. She has been through it all and I, for one, am just happy that she is able to release new music, thanks to Zedd.

I will stop ranting on, and just let you absorb in greatness below!

Kesha stated as she posted a teaser yesterday, “This is more than a song, it is a declaration of my truth”.

NEW VIDEO: Azealia Banks – The Big Big Beat

I have a weird love/hate relationship with Azealia Banks. To this day, “212” remains my jam, but on the flip side, her mouth will be the death of her career. That being said, something always brings me back to her music.

She keeps it interesting, even though I don’t agree with 95% of the things she says. Her flow is untouchable, partly because she is rapping over a different style of production. It is not your average “rap” music, it can cross genres. All of that being said, I only listened to select songs from her most recent mixtape Slay-Z, but I might have to go back and take a listen because I am really feeling this track.

Anyway, take a look at the video above, and let me know what you think!

NEW MUSIC: Flume – Say It [Ft. Tove Lo]

flume-tove-lo-say-it-new-song-stream-640x640

Flume hasn’t dropped an album since 2012, but all of a sudden has been gaining a lot of popularity with his chart topping smash, “Never Be Like You”. Those of you who follow LLM will know that you have heard Flume from his Chet Faker collaboration that I fell in love with early on, “Drop The Game“.

Flume has changed things up for his second album Skin, which is scheduled to drop on May 27th. Flume hasn’t quite fallen in he “radio friendly” category, I would just say that Top 40 is slowly changing and is more open to new genres and artists than before.

“Say It” is almost a toned down version of his previous hit, “Never Be Like You”. The production on the chorus is massive, and Tove Lo adds her signature sultry vocals over production that feels very comfortable for her seeing as she gained her success with “Stay High”. There is no telling when this song will gain it’s success, because Flume’s previous track has yet to die down, but for now enjoy it below!

NEW MUSIC: Juciy J & Wiz Khalifa – You [Ft. Liam Payne]

Alright, first things first….what?

Now that the confusion has set in, we can get down to the real aspects of this track here. I am honestly just posting this because of the Liam feature. I don’t really care for anyone on this track, I just thought it was an interesting collaboration seeing as we have a former OneDirection member on here.

The track is no where near and “Pillowtalk” standard, it probably won’t do anything on the carts either. It has a nice and smooth flow, and the hook is quite good. I have to say Liam actually does sound good in R&B form. If this is the direction that Liam is taking, it will definitely be interesting to say the least.

in a tweet by Liam, he claims that the track isn’t finished and it is just “Something I get up to on a weekend”. If these are the people he is hanging out with on a weekend, there is definitely more of this to come.

Take a listen to the most confusing collaboration of 2016 below!

NEW MUSIC: AlunaGeorge – I Remember

Cf8l77SUUAALdJJ

I’m so happy to hear AlunaGeorge going back to their roots with this new track, “I Remember”. After hitting MAJOR success with their DJ Snake remix of “I Know You Like It”, the duo has decided to give us more of what I love from them from their Body Music days. They have returned to their more indie sound and collaborating with another huge talent that has been slowly gaining success with his hit, “Never Be Like You”, Flume. You can easily hear the Flume influenced production behind the smooth and sexy AlunaGeorge vocals.

I’m loving this, and this is where AlunaGeorge needs to stay. Can’t wait to hear new music form this era!

NEW VIDEO: BeBe Rexha – No Broken Hearts [Ft. Nicki Minaj]

BeBe Rexha is the new “It” girl after taking huge success with her G-Eazy collaboration “Me Myself and I”. Now she is taking a turn a stepping out from behind the scenes and breaking out on her own. She has written some monster hits for some huge superstars including Eminem, Rihanna, Tinashe and David Guetta. I always have huge respect for talents that step out and decide it is their turn to take the spotlight.

“No Broken Hearts” isn’t anything amazing, but it is the perfect debut single for her. I mentioned in another post about the female empowerment run on the airwaves that we have, and this fits perfectly in line with it. It’s fun, it is a little ratchet thanks to Nicki and it’s catchy.

Don’t see it doing too well on the charts, but like I said, she is just getting started.

NEW MUSIC: Jennifer Lopez – Ain’t Your Mama

jlo-aint-your-mama

I have very mixed feelings about Jennifer Lopez, she releases bangers but they still don’t compare to old school Jenny from the block. I’m still here for J.Lo because I believe she can perform a track like not many pop stars can today. She knows her strengths as an entertainer and she definitely can put on a show.

“Ain’t Your Mama” doesn’t compare to “On The Floor”, it is a lot more pulled back and reserved. It is a very smart move considering Rihanna is all over the radio at the moment and the reggae, dance floor vibe feeling is definitely the right move right now. There is also a female empowerment movement going on over the airwaves with Adele, Rihanna, Beyonce and soon to be BeBe Rexha taking over.

I don’t see this song being a number 1 hit at all, but I could be proven wrong after she performs this tonight on the Idol Finale. I believe this song will have a quick idol run then fade, but I’m glad to see she is back in the studio.
