NEW VIDEO: JoJo – FAB [Ft. Remy Ma]

This is still one of my favorite cuts from JoJo’s iconic comeback album, Mad Love. The music video is simple yet gets your fired up all over again. “FAB” is an anthem that everyone needs in their life, and if you haven’t checked out the album yet, I highly suggest you do that.

In addition to dropping this music video, she has announced a tour that will start next year! I have been fortunate enough to see her once already, and I will definitely be purchasing tickets again.

Check out the full set of dates after the jump!

JUST LISTEN: MiC LOWRY – Oh Lord (Acoustic)

We first introduced you to MiC LOWRY in our Artist Spotlight series, and with their smash, “Oh Lord” dropping a few months back, they have given us a reason to love them even more.

I was hooked from their many acoustic covers on YouTube, and so this acoustic version of their song “Oh Lord” is absolutely everything. There really isn’t much else to say, but just listen to he vocals do all the work.

NEW MUSIC: Sean Paul – Tek Weh Yuh Heart [Ft. Tory Lanez]

maxresdefault-2

Sean Paul never really disappeared, but 2016 has definitely been his year. After giving us the remix to the chart topper “Cheap Thrills” with Sia, he has been slowly giving us banger after banger.

He has had quite the success over seas with his Clean Bandit collab, “Rockabye“, and I predict some serious success with this next Tory Lanez assisted track, “Tek Weh Yuh Heart”.

I still have no idea what he is talking about at any moment, but this track gives the perfect blend of Dancehall and R&B. In addition, Sean Paul has some big moves coming with collaborations with names such as Afrojack, Shakira and David Guetta. Don’t Call it come back!

Take a listen to the smooth and sexy track below!

NEW VIDEO: Aanysa x Snakehips – Burn Break Crash

For me, Snakehips has produced smash after smash. Whether it be the Zayn assisted, “Cruel” to the Chance The Rapper and Tinashe smash, “All My Friends“. This time they introduce us to some fresh new talent, Aanysa, who after watching the video will be someone I do some research on.

“Burn Break Crash” definitely has some summer 90’s vibes to it, but its definitely a track that I will have on repeat for quite some time. I can’t wait to hear what Snakehips churns out next, because I have yet to be disappointed!

NEW MUSIC: Childish Gambino – Me and Your Mama

skt2xxhz

Just a few hours after dropping the album art (pictured above) from his long awaited follow up to, Because the Internet, Childish Gambino drops his new single off his newest project. “Me and Your Mama” comes in around six and a half minutes long, but every second is magical.

When the song finally kicks in after about two minutes of interlude, we hear Childish screaming over a break up. It is definitely something different, and very raw. While the track feels very short, it is the opening track to the album so it is acting as almost a teaser to the album.

I can’t wait to hear more of his new album titled, Awaken, My Love!, which is set to drop Dec. 2nd!

Enjoy, and check out the track list after the jump!

NEW MUSIC: The XX – On Hold

xx_iseeyou_4000-1478781493-640x640

One of my favorites, The XX, are back with new music!

The trio has been away for almost 4 years now with their latest album being the amazing, Coexist. They have dropped their comeback single, “On Hold”, which gives us a Hall & Oats sample, and it is just what we need at the moment. “On Hold” is bright, its up-beat, and it’s just a fun listen.

The XX are scheduled to make their SNL debut on November 19th, and their third album, I See You, is due out January 13th, 2017!

In addition to their single dropping they have given us more info on the album which you will find after the jump!

Enjoy!

NEW VIDEO: Stanaj – Ain’t Love Strange

Stanaj was our Artist Spotlight a few months back, and now he gives us his debut music video off his fantastic EP, The Preview. “Ain’t Love Strange” is my favorite track off the EP, and the video is perfection. The visuals are basically an artsy representation of the lyrics which I think fits perfectly.

Stanaj is scheduled to perform this track on Jimmy Fallon tonight, and we have so much love for this talent. He will get his, much deserved, big break very soon.

NEW MUSIC/VIDEO: Bruno Mars – 24k Magic

cuik_f4ueaaql7r

2016 is showing up to be the year of comebacks from pop’s greatest. We have Lady Gaga, JoJo, and now Bruno Mars joins the club. Bruno has taken about 4 years off with the only single being the Mark Ronson smash, “Uptown Funk” and his iconic superbowl performance alongside Beyonce and Coldplay. Other than that we haven’t heard any solo material since Unorthodox Jukebox, back in 2012.

Bruno Mars is now back and not only dropped his new single “24K Magic” but the visuals and the album cover (featured above) to go along with it. This track had to be huge following his legendary success of “Uptown Funk”, and I believe he did that fantastically.

“24K Magic” brings the funk right back in the game with an almost Pharrell sounding production, it’s “Uptown Funk”…but sexier. The video gives me Beyonce “7/11” vibes, but better, and the song makes more sense. Bruno did the damn thing!

We need a male pop-star back in the game currently run by females and Bruno brings that.

Watch the video below!
Repeat.

NEW VIDEO: JoJo – Music

14222345_10154792403888455_1997244131160240668_n

Let me start off by saying, Oct. 14th can’t come soon enough.

JoJo is on a mission to give us her best form of art yet, and this track “Music” is something I’m sure a lot of people can relate too. This track is so simple, yet one of the most emotional tracks on the album. She has released banger after banger with “Fuck Apologies” and “FAB“, and now she gives us a very different yet raw side to her.

“Music” is a standout track on an already standout album. She pours out raw emotion, talks about her lost father, and using music as her escape. Like I said, something everyone can relate to. Simply perfect.

Mad Love is due out Oct. 14th. Go get it.

NEW MUSIC: Lady Gaga – Million Reasons

lady-gaga-joanne-cover-620x413

Everyone has been a bit skeptical from Lady Gaga‘s comeback track, “Perfect Illusion“. I have loved it since the beginning and it hasn’t changed.

While it’s no “Bad Romance” or “Just Dance”. “Perfect Illusion” is in it’s own lane. People are expecting the crazy, she is bringing the crazy in a different way. I believe this album is going to be one of the top albums of the year.

“Million Reasons” is the emotional and heart felt side of her. She debuted the song in Nashville as a part of her epic Dive Bar tour, which is the greatest thing a pop-star of her stature to ever do. She explained the song as “all these men giving her a million reasons to walk away, but one to stay”.

The Joanne era is going to be a game changer in pop music. Take a listen to “Million Reasons” below! After the Jump check out her full Dive Bar Tour performance including 2 other new tracks!

Joanne is due out Oct. 21st.
